TUA READY TO KICKOFF RAHMAN'S RETIREMENT PARTY!

28.03 - You are cordially invited to attend the Hasim Rahman Retirement Party at the First Union Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA, Saturday, March 29, beginning at 10 P.M. EST.

"Don't be late," said Kevin Barry, trainer and co-manager of top-rated heavyweight contender David Tua. "The party may be over by 10:05 P.M."

"The Party" Barry is referring to, is this Saturday's David Tua-Hasim Rahman rematch, which has been sanctioned by the IBF as a heavyweight title elimination bout. The fight will be televised live nationally on HBO's "World Championship Boxing," beginning at 10 PM EST / 7 PM PST.

Rahman has already been talking about walking away from boxing if he loses to Tua. In yesterday's USA Today, Rahman is quoted as saying, "This isn't something I'd be interested in doing any more (if I lose)."

Not exactly a positive attitude.

"Rahman has no confidence, he has no chin, he has no trainer," said Barry. "He fired Bouie Fisher three weeks from fight day. How smart was that? Then he tried to hire Buddy McGirt as Bouie's replacement, but Buddy's employer, Main Events, refused to allow McGirt to train him. How smart was that? Hasim's situation has become so desperate, I would not be surprised to see faith healers in his corner fight night! Rahman is going to get a BIG sendoff into retirement – Tuaman style. Come Saturday night, David Tua will transform Hasim Rahman from a one-punch wonder, into a punched-out wonder."

Alert AARP that its getting a new member Saturday night.
