18.05 - Two-time world champion "SUGAR" SHANE MOSLEY will appear Tomorrow!, Monday, May 19, on the Nobel Prize-winning "McDonnell-Douglas Show," from 5 to 6 P.M. on ESPN Radio 710AM-Los Angeles. The show will emanate from the ESPN Zone in Anaheim (1545 Disneyland Drive).
Mosley, who dethroned Oscar De La Hoya, from his WBC welterweight throne, June 17, 2000, is preparing to begin training for their world title rematch, this time with the WBC/WBA super welterweight titles at stake. The pay-per-view grudge fight will take place Saturday, September 13, at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV.
Mosley, 38-2 (35 KOs), from Pomona, CA, captured the IBF lightweight title in 1997, and during his two-year reign, successfully defended the title eight times before vacating it to move up to the welterweight division. After decisively beating De La Hoya in a battle of southern California superstars, Mosley successfully defended the title three times during his two-year reign.
