Mike Tyson-Clifford Etienne UN-Postponed!

NEW YORK, NY (February 18, 2003)

Saturday night's heavyweight bout between former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, (49-4, 2 NC, 43 KOs), of Catskill, N.Y., and world-ranked Clifford "The Black Rhino" Etienne, (24-1-1, 17 KOs), of Baton Rouge, LA., in Memphis will take place as originally scheduled - Saturday, February 22, at The Pyramid arena.

SHOWTIME Championship Boxing and SHO HDTV will televise the fight beginning at 10 P.M. ET / 10 P.M. PT

The 10-round bout had been postponed Monday evening after Tyson had been bedridden with the flu for a few days.

But today, Tyson woke up feeling great. "Mike called me this morning and told me he's ready to go," said Tyson advisor Shelly Finkel. "He told me 'I can beat Etienne,' and that's what he intends to do."

The Tyson vs. Etienne fight at 10 PM ET/PT from Memphis will be telecast on Showtime immediately following the live Jay-Z concert at 9 PM ET/PT, also from Memphis, TN.
