USBA Sanctions Lacy-Crawford Rumble For Super Middleweight Title On Tyson-Etienne Undercard

13.01 - It was announced today that the fight between undefeated WBC Continental Americas super middleweight champion JEFF "LEFT HOOK" LACY and former world title challenger James Crawford, has been sanctioned by the USBA for its vacant super middleweight title.

The Lacy-Crawford bout, now scheduled for 12 rounds, will headline the undercard of the Mike Tyson - Clifford Etienne extravaganza, Saturday, February 22, at The Pyramid in Memphis, TN.

Lacy, 12-0 (10 KOs), a 2000 U.S. Olympian, from Tampa, FL, is the USBA's No. 1 contender. Crawford, 37-3-2 (16 KOs), from Grinnell, IA, is rated No. 6 by the USBA.

Taped highlights of this fight will be featured on the SHOWTIME Championship Boxing / SHO HDTV telecast of Tyson-Etienne, which begins at 10 P.M. ET /10 P.M. PT.
