18.07 - Two of boxing's most highly regarded young boxers - Rocky Juarez and Juan Diaz - hope to continue their winning ways when they appear in separate bouts on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING on Saturday, July 19, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Juarez, 23, the 2000 Olympic Silver Medalist, will take on tough Dominican Antonio "Chelo'' Diaz, while Juan Diaz, 19, the youngest boxer ever to appear on SHOWTIME, will be opposed by FECARBOX 130-pound champion and former Dominican titleholder, Francisco "The Drowned" Lorenzo. SHOWTIME will televise the Main Events, Inc.-promoted fight card from Reliant Park in Houston.

ROCKY JUAREZ (16-0, 12 KOs)
"I would like to thank SHOWTIME, Main Events, my dad, trainer and everyone involved for making this fight happen in my hometown. I am well prepared and in great condition. I know this is going to be a tough fight. Chelo Diaz is definitely a step up in class and I have a lot of respect for him. This is going to be a great fight. It is always exciting when I can fight on SHOWTIME in front of my family, friends and fans.

ANTONIO "CHELO" DIAZ (24-3, 11 KOs)
"I am really in great shape and coming here to win. I have a lot of fight left in me, and have been in with tough opponents. My three losses were all to boxers who were either former world champions or who became world champions. One of my wins came against Daniel Jimenez, who was a former world champion. I know Juarez very well. I helped one of my stablemates, Hector Acero-Sanchez, train for when he fought Juarez. Hector lost, but I think I am a little stronger than him and will throw more punches. Rocky is a good guy with a lot of potential and is on the way up. I am not saying he is making a mistake fighting me. I just hope the right guy gets the decision. This is going to be the fight of the year.''

JUAN DIAZ (21-0, 10 KOs)
"I am very excited about fighting on SHOWTIME again in Houston. I would like to thank all the fans from Houston and all the fans who have watched me and Rocky for all their support. The fans are who make us what we are. This is going to be a great fight on a great fight card.''

FRANCISCO LORENZO (18-1, 11 KOs)
"This is going to be a hard fight for both of us. Diaz is a good, young fighter but I am good, too. I am in top shape. Fighting in his backyard won't be easy, but I am ready for anything. I am confident that I will not just test Diaz, but beat him.''
