Allan Vester a lucky winner in Kjellerup, Friday night!

By Denzel Ivarsson

16.11 - Danish welterweight Allan Vester (22-3-1) won a controversial decision over Lawrence Ngobeni (28-4-1) of South Africa in Kjellerup on Friday night to win the IBF intercontinental welterweight belt. The former IBF junior welterweight title challenger seemed a very fortunate winner in the fight, getting pressured by Ngobeni very hard in the later stages of the match. Allan was forced to back up most of the fight and had very little to offer in the offense.

Ngobeni took the later half of the fight on sheer aggressiveness but didn't get rewarded by the three judges at ringside who all scored it in favour of the Dane. The scores were as follows: 115-113, 115-113 and 118-112. Former European welterweight Christian Bladt, spiced up the under card as he out pointed Moses Sentamu (6-9-1) of Uganda over six rounds. 27-year-old Bladt now 25-2-1 as a professional, talk has been circulating about a fight for him with Italian IBF champ, Michele Piccirillo on the champion's home-turf but nothing has been finalized. Bladts promoter, Anders Vester wants that fight to be held in Denmark. What happens, remains to be seen!

Danish cruiserweight prospect Lasse Johansen walked away this Vester-promotion with his fifth straight victory via a quick second round knockout over Attila Maté of Hungary. At super middleweight tough-guy Mark Graversen upped his record to 8-1-1 by outscoring Isidore Janvier of of Cameroon. 22 year old former Danish Junior middleweight amateur champion Fawaz Nasir TKO:ed Romanian Joszef Balazs in round two to secure win number 4 in his career. In a competitive bantamweight match-up, part-time butcher, Peter Svendsen polished his badly stained record (2-1-2) with a well-needed win over George Owenge of Kenya.
