'ABSOLUTE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP 3' Announces Revamped Lineup!

21.05 - HOOKnSHOOT's 'Absolute Fighting Championship 3' features the return of Jens Pulver, who squares off against tough Texan Jason Maxwell. 'People who don't know Maxwell will be in for a surprise - he is a fighter who is young and hungry, and he is a guy who can do it all. He wants to fight the best in the world, and now he gets his chance.' explains Miguel Iturrate, HnS matchmaker. 'As for Pulver, the former champ is still probably the top 155 lber in the world, and he is training hard, but coming off a loss, I am sure he is feeling some pressure. This is a volatile mix - and as we learn everyday in MMA - anything can happen!'

The card will also feature a revamped FIRST EVER women's title bout, featuring undefeated Jennifer Howe (10-0) taking on undefeated Tara Larosa (4-0) at 125 lbs. 'At the new weight class, down from 135 lbs, this is a marquee match up of two of the top women's competitors out there. When the 135 lbers heal up, that will re-open the door at that weight division' explains the matchmaker. 'Howe is elite, trains with top people annd can fight at 135 as well. No one questions here credentials. Larosa has impressed every step of the way, and though she is younger, she also brings a lot of hunger to the table, and she has that intangible of rising to the occasion - and she wanted this opportunity badly.'

To headline, HnS features a 155 lb SE title defense for American TOP TEAM's latest JJ wiz, Marcus Aurelio. Aurelio takes on Darrell Smith an ICSF champion who is looking to break thru in HOOKnSHOOT, and is hungry as hell. 'Aurelio comes off a decisive win for the HnS NE title in Boston on 5/3, and he is looking to be a fighting champion. he has already made history by capturing two regional titles, and becomes only the 2nd man in HnS history to hold 2 titles simultaneously (joining World Champion Jorge Rivera at 205 lbs). Aurelio's Jiu Jitsu is like a blanket, he wants to be a fighting champion, and he now headlines his hometown show - Aurelio may be the next big thing out of TOP TEAM' states the matchmaker.
