26.08 - CHRISTIAN BLADT W 8 Andrzej Butowicz (Poland), Welterweight
Ex-European welterweight king Bladt returned to outpoint lanky Polish southpaw Butowicz after conceeding his title last April to Michel Trabant. Giving away height, Bladt dominated most parts of the fight, but failed to really solve the long-armed puzzle in front of him. Time and again, Butowicz was able to surprise Bladt with his awkward stand-up style, landing clean combos, though couldn't sustain the pressure long enough to make it count on the scorecards. The Dane's record now stands at 23-2-1 (6).

RICHEL HERSISIA W 8 Antoine Palatis (France), Heavyweight
In a fight that will have taught him more than any other previous one, Dutch puncher Hersisia successfully graduated to 8-round-class, overcoming his most experienced and first southpaw foe by scores of 78:74 (twice) and 79:74. Former two-weight French champ Palatis, though, was always in contention and within punching range, using all the knowledge gained in 43 pro bouts against Europe's cruiser and heavyweight elite, to avoid serious damage. Hersisia, who goes to 14-0 (11), took a breather in the fifth, but came back well to underline his transformation from prospect to contender.

JAN JENSEN TKO 5 Adam Zadworny (Poland), Welterweight
Duelling each other from a distance, Jensen became more aggressive and forceful from the second round onwards. When the mechanical Zadworny became more hesitant in the third, Jensen started to in- or decrease the pace of the fight as it suited him, with only his boxing ability keeping the Pole in the fight in round four. Having won all rounds on all cards, Jensen turned on the heat in the 5th and with Zadworny in trouble the ref stepped in. Though the stoppage, which brought Jensen's record to 12-0-1 (6), seemed a tad too early, the visitor really had no chance to turn the tide anyway.

MARK GRAVERSEN KO 3 Marcin Radola (Poland), Supermiddleweight
Graversen dominates from the off and might have scored a one-round victory had he not foolishly stepped back after seriously shaking Radola. One more shot would have done the trick, though the Pole still returned to his corner with a bad cut over his left eye. One right hand flush on the kisser finally put Radola down and out, upping the Dane's log to 7-0-1 (3).

RASMUS IVERSEN W 6 Talal Santiago (Holland), Cruiserweight
All three judges scored the bout 58:56 for the Dane, who enjoyed a good weight advantage. However, without officials, the venues backyard might have been a more appropriate setting for a clash that put the expression "sweet science" far out of reach for this one. Iversen improves to 7-1-1 (3) and we should leave it at that…

LASSE JOHANSEN W 4 Leon Nzama (Zambia), Cruiserweight
In a good, old-fashioned brawl between two guys who both won their pro debut, Johansen's superior conditioning proved the difference and brought him home dry on scores of 39:37 and 40:36 (twice). These cards, however, did not do justice to the contribution of the Zambian, who landed his fair share of right-hand bombs.
