HINTEREGGER'S NEW START WITH Fight Production

A COUGAR IN BERLIN!

24.07 - After signing up earlier this month with German company Fight Production, manager Olaf Schroeder now set the date of April 30 for Gotthard Hinteregger's first outing under his banner. The International Austrian champion, who calls himself 'The Cougar', will appear in the German capital of Berlin on a small-hall promotion staged by the International Fight Club Organisation (IFCO) against an opponent, at superwelterweight, to be determined shortly.

At the same time, it was also revealed that Schroeder, on behalf of his new client who sports a 21-6-1 (11) record, entered into a promotional agreement with the IFCO's boss, the controversial self-styled 'Lady Pitbull' Eva Rolle. The currently only female promoter in Germany started her business in 2001 and has already guided lightheavyweight Lee Manuel Osie to the European Union crown. Her main drawing card, however, is still sidelined with eye problems, which forces Rolle to present a five-fight card featuring her up-and-coming talents next Wednesday.

Rolle has made as many supporters as she made detractors during her short journey in the boxing world, not at least because of her face-forward, take-no-prisoners approach of the game, and started her cooperation with Schroeder's Fight Production in the summer of last year. "Hinteregger has made himself many fans here in Berlin when he gave a good account battling for 12 rounds against Danny Thiele for the WBB title on my show in July, so I am happy to support him. It is probably too late for him to go all the way, but I'm sure he will prove an exiting addition to my promotions," said Rolle.

According to Schroeder, there is no written promotional contract in place, but, says the manager and matchmaker, "I know I can trust Eva's word and we will just take it fight-by-fight and see what the future holds for Gotthard." The Vienna native, who last fought in February, is just happy to get started again: "I'm not about to ask any questions, let me just bring 'The Cougar' to Berlin and find his prey!"
