Primera Replaces Barbosa On "Monday Night Fights"
20.03 - Middleweight Brian Barbosa has been removed from his March 31 bout with Jermain Taylor (14-0, 10 KOs) and will be replaced by the upset minded Marcos Primera, a native of Puerto Cabello, Venezuela, who now makes his home in Durham, North Carolina. The 28-year-old, who sports a record of 14-3-1 (9 KO's), is coming off a fourth round TKO victory over Taylor's 2000 US Olympic teammate, Dante Craig on February 21.
Also added to the March 31 card is a ten round lightweight bout between Angel Manfredy (40-6-1, 29 KO's) and Moises Pedroza (24-4-1, 21KO's). The hard-hitting Pedroza replaces Victoriano Sosa against the highly ranked Manfredy.
