Jeremy Williams Faces Mario Cawley Jan. 30 in Portland, Ore

24.01 - World-ranked heavyweight Jeremy Williams, who's promoted by Cedric Kushner Promotions, meets Mario Cawley in the 10-round main event Jan. 30 at The Rose Garden in Portland, Ore.

Williams, who may have the most unique nickname in boxing, "Half-Man, Half-Amazing," has a record of 39-4 with 35 knockouts.

The 30-year-old Williams, from North Hills, Calif., has won four straight, all on Cedric Kushner Promotions' "Everlast Heavyweight Explosion" cards.

On Sept. 29 in Lemoore, Calif., Williams, ranked No. 15 by the World Boxing Council, stopped Gilbert Martinez in the ninth round; on June 7 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas he took a 10-round decision over Ron Guerrero; on April 21 in Laughlin, Nev., he halted David Bostice in the first; and on March 17 in Oroville, Calif., he stopped Louis Monaco in the first.

The 32-year-old Cawley, from Chicago, has a record of 22-9 with 16 knockouts and has faced World Boxing Association heavyweight champion John Ruiz.
