Camacho Jr vs Fred Ladd on Nov 22

11.11 - World-ranked Hector Camacho Jr., who's promoted by Cedric Kushner Promotions, faces his most experienced opponent to date, hard-hitting Fred Ladd, Friday, Nov. 22, in the welterweight, 10-round main event on a card in Lemoore, Calif.

Camacho, a 24-year-old southpaw from San Juan, P.R., has a record of 34-1 with 19 knockouts and is ranked No. 10 by the World Boxing Council among super lightweights. He's coming off a 12-round decision on a Cedric Kushner Promotions card Sept. 6 in Compton, Calif., when he successfully defended his United States Boxing Organization welterweight championship against Arturo Urena.

Camacho also has held the North American Boxing Association light welterweight and the World Boxing Association North American welterweight championships.

Ladd, from Memphis, Tenn., has a record of 44-9 with 33 knockouts. Camacho never has met a foe with more bouts than the 53 in which Ladd has appeared.

Ladd, who turns 31 one week before this fight, became a pro when Camacho was only 11.

The card, promoted by George Chung's American Champion Sports, starts at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific) at the Palace Indian Gaming Center.
