Professional Boxing Returns To Maine

28.01 - Lake George, NY - www.TheDailySports.com, Inc. announced today that Professional Boxing makes its return to Maine as they present "FIGHT NIGHT" At The Multi-Purpose Center in Lewiston, Maine on Saturday, February 15, 2003.

Scheduled to appear as part of the Main Event, will be New England's ICEMAN, John Scully, 38-11 (21 KOs) against an opponent to be named soon.

"John has been in the gym working hard for the past six-weeks. His main goal is to get another shot at a World Title. He is very confident that this time he will walk away with a belt", stated Bill Calogero, president of TheDailySports.com Boxing Promotions.

Calogero added, "I am extremely excited about bringing professional boxing back to the State of Maine. Lewiston is a fight-town and we hope to re-kindle the excitement that was here through-out Joey Gamache's great career as well as one of the most famous moments of Boxing History when Sonny Liston was stopped by Muhammad Ali during the first round in 1965 as he attempted to regain the title he lost fifteen months earlier. We have put together a great card full of action packed bouts to make this a triumphant return to Lewiston", stated Bill Calogero, president of www.TheDailySports.com Boxing Promotions.

Also scheduled to appear is Lewiston native, Don Labbe, 2-2 (1 KO) who will face against Portland's John "Rumble" Webster, 6-4-2 in a 4-round Light Heavyweight bout. This is a real grudge match and is sure to please!
