DANIEL "Big Danny Boy" JUDAH
Age: 25 (08-08-77)
Residence: Brooklyn, New York
Record: 16-0-1, 7 KOs
Light Heavyweight
Southpaw
Trainer: Yoel Judah
Undefeated older brother of former world champion Zab. He is rated #8 by the NABA and #16 by the NABF.
A tall and rangy boxer with good combinations and decent power, Judah has been slowly developing, while trying to fight his way out from under his superstar little brother Zabs shadow. Judah spars with world-class fighters at both light heavy and heavy. He began his career at Super Middleweight, but has grown into a Light Heavyweight. He stays active, having fought an average of five times per year since turning pro in 1999. The only blemish on his record is a four-round draw in his third fight.
2002 - BEST WIN: On July 13, 2002, in Tunica, MS, he won an 8-round unanimous decision against Kerry Parks, who was on an eight fight winning streak before being derailed by Judah.
2002 - ANOTHER BEST WIN: On September 27, 2002, in West Palm Beach, FL, he won an 6-round unanimous decision against Juan Carlos Viloria, a veteran of over forty fights.
AMATEUR, PERSONAL BACKGROUND: Judah is a native of Brooklyn, New York. He was raised by his grandmother and father in a lower/middle class neighborhood. He says he is sometimes misperceived as a gangster-type person, when actually he is a humble man who someday wants his chance at Roy Jones.
