Joshua and his team must start negotiations with Team-Parker by November 9, with the fight likely to take place around March time, but Joshua has spoken of wanting to get another voluntary defence in first, in November or December. And Matchroom chairman Barry Hearn told Sky Sports he feels A.J will indeed slot one more fight in before taking on Parker.

On Saturday afternoon, July 2, 2016, Baltimore’s sixteen year-old amateur boxer, Lorenzo “Truck” Simpson, won his third fight in four days at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas, Texas, to win a gold medal in the 2016 Junior Olympics National Boxing Tournament at 165 lbs. More than 900 young boxers from across the United States qualified and registered for the tournament, which was held June 28-July 2, as part of the Dallas Sports Festival.
