In a recent interview discussing his future, missing in action world class boxer Andre Ward told Sky Sports that he is interested in a rematch with Carl Froch. The two first met in the Super Six Final back in December 2011 when Ward defeated Froch by unanimous decision in a fight that was much less competitive than the scorecards suggested.

“The UK is one thing, Nottingham is something different” said Ward. “I’m not willing to come to Nottingham, I don’t think I should have to, but Wembley stadium, the UK as a whole – I would love to come”.

This edition of Rummy’s Corner makes the case that Andre Ward should indeed pursue a rematch with Froch, and that he should accept Froch’s demands that the fight be in his home town of Nottingham. Froch, after all, did come to the United States for their first bout. Ward touched on this with Sky Sports stating, “The thing is this: Atlantic City, where we fought the finals of the Super Six, it’s thousands of miles away from my home – that’s a road fight. I live on the west coast, the fight was on the east coast, which was a six-hour plane ride for me”.

Be that as it may, Ward should still be willing to accept the fight with Froch in his hometown of Nottingham to help re-establish himself after prolonged absence. As detailed in the video, Ward needs to redeem himself with the boxing world following three key mistakes he has made since winning the Super Six.

In addition to the Ward vs Froch aspect, there is also a brief segment on the upcoming Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Manny Pacquiao PPV extravaganza which even includes a prediction from one of the members of Rummy’s team of contributing boxing enthusiasts.
