Light flyweight Filipino Randy Petalcorin (19-1-1, 14 KOs) has arrived in Australia and is set to headline the UltraTune Cup fight card in Melbourne, Australia on November 8.
Promoted by current WBC Asia Council promoter of the year Peter Maniatis, the WBA #2 Petalcorin will look to put on a dazzling show in front of an expected capacity crowd at the Malvern Town Hall in what will be his first fight outside the Phillipines.
Petalcorin is set to do battle with experienced Thai Samransak Singmanasak (35-20-1, 27 KOs) over 12 rounds for Petalcorin’s PABA light flyweight title.
Promoter Peter Maniatis states Petalcorin “has been in training camp with Manny Pacquiao all September and October at General Santos Gym, owned by Pacquaio in General Santos City. Randy Petalcorin is here in Australia to defend his PABA title and secure the number 1 world ranking (WBA).”
Leading into the bout, Randy will base his training at the BoxingFit gym in Port Melbourne.
Other fighters set to appear on the eight fight card include the undefeated Victorian Michael Zerafa, Oscar Ledlin and Terry Tzouramanis.
Tickets for the UltraTune Cup can be purchased via www.petermaniatis.com or boxingtickets.net.au, starting from $50.
