Tyson Fury : Nothing Signed For Klitschko YET!

British WBO heavyweight mandatory Tyson Fury (24-0, 18ko) has taken to Twitter to potentially answer the barrage of questions he has no doubt received with regards to his upcoming challenge to division boss Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53ko)

After bossing game American Bryant Jennings in New York last month, the giant Ukrainian signaled his intent to fulfill his mandatory obligations by fighting Fury – with the feeling among fans and even the Fury camp themselves, that there is a very good chance of Klitschko checking a huge UK stadium fight off his bucket list and the fight taking place on British soil.

With speculation and rumour growing more intense, Fury – whose latest twitter name is #THEPEOPLESCHAMP – today wrote on his acct;

“Just to let u all know there has been nothing signed yet with Klitschko. I’m hoping September, but best man to ask is Frank Warren.”

Warren, who is representing Fury’s interests alongside promoter Mick Hennessey has been in negotiation with the Klitschko team and HBO executives in America ahead of making the fight as Wladimir will still be tied into his TV deal with the broadcasting giant.

The Klitschko team, who have largely been based in Germany their entire careers, are known to be ruthless negotiators with regards to EVERY aspect of their fights – in AND out of the ring – which is potentially going to delay proceedings slightly as every minutia is ironed out.

Yet the signs still appear to be the fight is ON for the Autumn/Fall and the location likely to be mainland Europe or London’s famous Wembley Stadium.

It’s going to be huge.
