The Return of El Tigre

Tonight at the Pharr Texas convention center Raul El Tigre Casarez returns to the ring after a 1.5 years absence. The 29 year old Edinburg Texas native returns in a middleweight fight taking on up-and-comer Omar Rojas in his comeback fight, as the co-main event.

El Tigre a 27 fight veteran, has faced the likes Alfredo Angulo and JC Candelo, and continues fighting to pursue his goal of becoming world champion. Now trained by Roberto Rubaldino, Casarez has gone back to basics incorporating new strength and conditioning drills, adding new boxing techniques and tactics to his already impressive skill set. In the past is the struggle to make weight that accompanied previous training camps, improved by a nutritional program geared to his body and metabolic needs.

Adequate gym work, roadwork and sparring was implemented by Casarez and his team to optimize his chances for success and move him forwards towards championship bouts according to Manager Rolando Trevino. Trevino commented to this writer at yesterdays weighin as to how good Casarez looked and to how smoothly training camp went. Team Casarez is looking forwards to great things in the boxing career El Tigre.

The main event of tonight’s card features Heavyweight title challenger Eric The Drummer Boy Molina facing Roderika Ray of Paris Tennessee in a heavyweight bout.
