9. Sergey Kovalev 26-0-1-(23)
10. Carl Froch 33-2-0-(24)

This is a similar picture to most at this point. However there are some serious changes to happen in the course of the next few years. In the short term, returns of boxers such as Mikey Garcia and Andre Ward could bump somebody out on their reentry to list. It would only take 1-2 impressive performances from either man to see their names reinstated on the pound of pound list of many fans.

In the long term the careers of guys like Mayweather, Pacquiao, Klitschko, Marquez and Froch are believed to be in their final chapters. Mayweather has said that he will not fight on after his contract with Showtime expires and Froch has also expressed a desire to hang up the gloves for good although is currently on the market for a final farewell fight against someone like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

In the meantime we could see names such as Canelo Alvarez, Danny Garcia, Adonis Stevenson, Kell Brook, Miguel Cotto, Nicholas Walters, Amir Khan, Adrien Broner, Keith Thurman, Terence Crawford, and other fast rising stars making their entry or reentry on to this coveted list of boxers.
