May Day Weekend Pre Fight Social Honoring Fighters with the Emanuel Steward Award

May Day Weekend proved to be all fans hoped for and more. On top of the impressive unanimous decision for Floyd Mayweather Jr over Robert Guerrero at the MGM Grand Arena Las Vegas. Kicking off the weekend was a pre-fight social event honoring a lineup of this generation’s most exciting up and coming fighters in boxing. The Watson Family, Y.E.S. Productions, All Night Media Inc., and Exotic Euro Cars presented the fighters Danny Garcia, Fernando Guerrero and Austin Trout with an Emanuel Steward Award at the ‘Mixing It Up With The Champs’ social event.

The Pre-Fight Social started with an intimate red carpet affair with some of boxing industry elites in attendance. During all the fight commotions it was refreshing to attend events that allow companies to network and showcase their stellar services and brands. Boxing Promoter Sam Watson hosted the Pre-Fight Social and presented the honorees with the awards. Showcased at the event were top of the line automobiles by Exotic Euro Cars that include a convertible Rolls Royce & Ferrari and a Mercedes with suicide doors. Also Don Vicente of Las Vegas was sponsoring the event and hand rolling cigars for guests.

Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin was on the red carpet and giving fans assurance of a very promising and dedicated future in boxing. “Peter is not getting anything we just love him,” Sam Watson. Keeping guests entertained and paying tribute to these new prospects, Watson was excited to announce the opportunity and upcoming ventures that will help many other upcoming fighters, producers, promoters and more. Also in attendance were Johnny Dang who makes fine jewelry and everything bling, Ishe Smith who’s set to fight in July, Angel Garcia’s dad Angel Garcia, actress and model KD Aubert and Larry McCoy from the movies Dead Presidents, Bulletproof, Never Die Alone, The Players Club and more.

The late Emanuel Steward was a famed American boxer, Hall of Fame boxing trainer, and commentator for HBO Boxing who trained more than 41 world champion fighters throughout his career. He is most recognized for his success with Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko, Thomas Hearns, and Tony Tucker. Ultimately, In honor of Emanuel Steward, the Watson’s will recognize and celebrate who some may even consider “pioneers” of a new generation of boxing.
