When Wladimir Klitschko announced his injury on YouTube, preventing him from facing Tyson Fury on their scheduled date of October 24, 2015, voices of disappointment filled the internet forums and online media outlets. “I knew this was going to happen,” was the most common statement cruising the boxing forums, as fans exclaimed that Klitschko was trying to do anything and everything to avoid a bout against a younger and bigger Fury.

Of course Fury himself also proclaimed that he predicted this type of news coming from camp Klitschko two days before the announcement came. After an evident effort put in by Fury into aggressively marketing himself as well as the fight, one that he was confident he was going to win, it all came crumbling down into an abyss; an unknown and uncertain future date.

Their bout according to many, was supposed to be one of the biggest challenges for the Ukainian champion. Klitschko hasn’t faced a rival like Fury in a long time, and with father time constantly picking at Klitschko and his physical abilities, Fury had a lot of things on his side.

Not to worry. According to a recent article, Fury’s promoter Mick Hennessey has mentioned that both teams are looking at a new date: November 28 in Espirit Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany, just under a month away from their original date.

“Both camps are optimistic, and we are hoping that the fight will take place at the end of November,” stated Hennessey.
