Fury calls out Anthony Joshua

British heavyweight Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KOs) still hasn’t taken care of Dereck Chisora in their rematch next month and yet Fury already has his eyes set on who he wants to fight next. Fury says he wants to fight undefeated and untested British prospect Anthony Joshua (9-0, 9 KOs) so that he can prove himself against him.

Never mind the fact that a fight between Fury and Joshua would make no sense at this point considering that Joshua isn’t a belt holder, and has never beaten anyone remotely talented. Fury still feels like it’s a fight that he wants.

Fury says that Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn won’t dare put him in with him and he’s probably right. Hearn is being extra careful about who he matches Joshua up right now, and he’s not likely to change that now that the 6’9″ Fury is calling him out. Fury has sparred with Joshua in the past so he knows a lot about his weaknesses.

“I challenge Anthony Joshua & Eddie Hearn to fight in December after I smash Chisora. If u don’t want to fight say sorry for mentioning me!? “Eddie Hearn would never dream of putting @Anthony Joshua in the same ring so stop going on about it! The fight wouldn’t last 3rounds. Booooom!”

Fury might as well forget about trying to get a fight against Joshua at this point because Hearn is likely going to guard him like the crown jewels. He’s already referring to him as Adonis, and I doubt he’s going to want to throw him to the wolves at this point in his career when he sees him as a future champion.

Joshua looks decent right now, but it’s still far too early to tell if he’s going to pan out as a top fighter because Hearn has been matching him against beatable opposition that fold immediately. All of the fighters that Joshua has fought are guys that Fury and Chisora would have rolled over if they were matched against them.

Hearn said “Tyson Fury @AnthonyJoshua correct – you wouldn’t last 3 rounds. Time will tell-concentrate on your fight…hope it happens for you good luck.”

Fury then said “@Eddie Hearn @Anthony Joshua make the fight happen then big boy after Chisora. I’ll fight him in December? Can’t put muscles on the chin.”
