Fight Day Questions with Ronald Gavril

By Boxing Roundup - 08/24/2013 - Comments

Super middleweight prospect Ronald Gavril (5-0) takes on Dave Courchaine in the StubHub Center, Carson, California tonight. ‘The Thrill’ has made a perfect start to his promising career and will be looking to add another victory to his resume in a few hours time.

The Romanian native has turned his career around since relocating to Las Vegas and with the experience of trainer Eddie Mustafa Muhammad in his corner Ronald has made a smooth transition into professional prize-fighting.

We caught up with Ronald earlier today to ask him about his fight day routine.

Q. Ronald, how do you relax and pass time on the day of a fight?

RG. I’m just chilling early, off to the venue soon. Fighting first on the card, I’m ready for the 6-0.

Q. Do you have any fight day superstitions or traditions?

RG. None. I’m all business today. I worked hard in training and now I am ready for whatever my opponent brings. It’s showtime.

Q. Can you tell us a little about your pre-fight warm up routine in the changing room?

RG. I wrap one hour before the fight then stretch and shadow box. Then glove up for pad work and a get a good sweat up. Then we’re ready.

Q. What thoughts will go through your mind as you walk to the ring in Carson tonight?

RG. Positive thoughts of succeeding after all the hard work and dedication with The Money Team. I’m proud to represent Mayweather Promotions.

Thanks for taking time out just hours before the fight to answer some questions Ronald.
