Ireland’s rising bantamweight star, Ryan Burnett took his record to a perfect 8:0 by defeating experienced Frenchman Fayal Messaoudene in a six round contest at the home of London boxing, York Hall, Bethnal Green on Friday evening.
Ireland’s rising bantamweight star, Ryan Burnett (4W-0L, 3KOs) will return to the ring on November 22, 2014 as part of the ‘Return of the Crazy Gang’ boxing event at the Devendish Complex in Belfast.
Burnett relocated to London over the summer and has established a new team around him to progress his boxing career and hone his boxing skills.
TOP bantamweight prospect Ryan Burnett will have his toughest test to date when he appears on TKO Events’ stacked card at the Troxy in London’s East End on June 14.
The Ricky Hatton-trained Irishman will face Ukrainian veteran Gennadiy Delisandru and he’s keen to put on another stunning performance.
RYAN BURNETT says he’s going to follow the blueprint set by fellow Belfast-native Carl Frampton in his attempts to get to the top.
The pair trained together under the legendary Gerry Storey at the Holy Family Golden Gloves Boxing Club as amateurs and have remained firm friends.
Frampton now sits on the verge of world title shot despite having only 16 pro fights, and Burnett sees no reason why he can’t follow The Jackal’s lead.
“Carl Frampton is a big inspiration to me because I used to train with him and I’ve seen how he’s got so far so quickly,” Ryan, 21, said.
