Nielsen ready for ring return, Thorslund and Khattab promise victories

Danish super middleweight Patrick Nielsen (28-1, 14 KOs) makes his long awaited return to the ring on Saturday night when he takes on Colombian southpaw Beibi Berrocal (17-3, 16 KOs) at the Struer Energi Park in Denmark.

Nielsen last fought in December 2015, stopping bitter rival Rudy Markussen in the third-round of their high profile domestic showdown. Following this fight, the 25 year-old was on the cusp of a World title challenge when a hand injury forced him to withdraw from a scheduled bout in May and left him sidelined for the rest of the year.

Nielsen beats Larghetti

Micki Nielsen (21-0, 14 KOs) overcame his toughest career test to retain his WBC International Cruiserweight title with a unanimous points victory against former World title challenger Mirko Larghetti (24-2, 14 KOs) last night at the Albertslund Musikateatret in Copenhagen.
