Nielsen and Lerena make weight, ready for ‘Super 4’ final

Micki Nielsen (22-0, 14 KOs) and Kevin Lerena (15-1, 8 KOs) both made weight today ahead of the final of the ‘Super 4’ cruiserweight tournament tomorrow night at the Emperors Palace in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Nielsen and Lerena have seen off competition from Johnny Muller and Roberto Bolonti to secure their place in the final, and will now battle it out for the ‘Super 4’ title and a share of the $100,000 prize money.

Micki Nielsen (22-0, 14 KOs) has arrived in South Africa ready for to face Kevin Lerena (15-1, 8 KOs) in the final of the ‘Super 4’ tournament on October 22 at the Emperors Palace in Gauteng.

The Danish cruiserweight booked his place in the final with a unanimous points victory over Johnny Muller in June, while Lerena outpointed former World title challenger Roberto Bolonti to reach the final two.

Micki Nielsen (22-0, 14 KO) scored a unanimous points victory over Johnny Muller (19-7-2, 13 KOs) on Saturday night at the Emperors Palace Casino in Gauteng, South Africa to progress to the final of the ‘Super 4’ cruiserweight tournament.

After ten hard-fought rounds the judges scored the fight 98-91, 96-93 and 95-94 in favour of the Danish boxer.
