Murphys Boxing is pleased to announce that we have signed Mark “Bazooka” DeLuca to a promotional contract. DeLuca a U.S. Marine veteran and undefeated middleweight contender knows the meaning of the word sacrifice. With a 6-0 record out of the gate, Mark was on the fast track to a promising pro boxing career. While most in his position would be searching for the big contract and the next big fight, Mark enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he spent 2011 and 2012 in Afghanistan as part of the 1st Division/25th Marines in Alpha Company, choosing service to his country over his personal and professional gain as a pro boxer. After completing his Military Service, he resumed his boxing career. His already strong loyal fan based rapidly continued to grow upon his return.
Fresh on the heels of the widely popular Saint Patrick’s Clash card on Saturday March 19th, Murphys Boxing announces another installment of the Memorial Series. Memorial Series III takes place Thursday May 5th at Melrose Memorial Hall and touts the return of U.S. Marine and undefeated middleweight prospect Mark “Bazooka” DeLuca (13-0 10KOs) against the always tough Salim Larbi (20-5-2 7KOs) from New York, NY. DeLuca a Massachusetts fan favorite known for his come forward style of fighting returns after a year layoff due to a hand injury and looks to pick up right where he left off. A fighter who likes to get in there and bang away, DeLuca plans to fight himself into the national middleweight picture.
