An exciting night of boxing hit the Coachella Valley tonight as fans were treated with a stellar card at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Joining in the festivities, International Hall of Fame Boxer Michael “Jinx” Spinks hosted a special meet and greet at the Special Events Arena ahead of the televised fights and fans cheered on as International Hall of Fame Trainer Freddie Roach appeared ringside in support of his fighter Franke “Pitbull” Gomez. Also, Golden Boy Promotions fighters IBF Bantamweight World Champion, Randy “El Matador” Caballero, Hector “El Finito” Tanajara, Joshua Franco, Angel Bojado and Jesus Soto Karass attended to cheer on their favorite fighters during the night.

Headlining the event, undefeated featherweight sensation Joseph “JoJo” Diaz Jr. (17-0, 10 KOs) will battle against Mexican brawler, Ruben “Canelito” Tamayo (23-6-4, 15 KOs) in the 10-round featherweight bout. Joining the action packed night, International Hall of Fame Boxer Michael “Jinx” Spinks will host a special meet and greet at the Special Events Arena from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Fans with tickets to the event will be able to meet the 1976 Olympic medalist and former two division world champion, before televised fights.

LOS ANGELES (June 11) – After a standout performance on the May 9 Canelo-Kirkland undercard, former 2012 U.S. Olympian Joseph Diaz Jr. returns to the ring on July 11 in a 10-round featherweight on the undercard of Mauricio Herrera vs. Hank Lundy from the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena.
In the main event of the televised doubleheader Mauricio “El Maestro” Herrera of Southern California takes on “Hammerin'” Hank Lundy in a 10-round bout for the vacant NABF Super Lightweight Championship. The co-main event, Michael “The Artist” Perez (22-1-2, 10 KOs) of Newark, New Jersey will take on Las Vegas transplant Sharif “The Lion” Bogere (27-1, 19 KOs) in an exciting 10-round lightweight match-up for the vacant NABO Lightweight Title, televised live on HBO Latino beginning at 11:00 p.m. (live ET/tape-delayed PT).
Everything is always bigger in Texas and that will certainly be the case when it comes to the undercard of one of the most anticipated fights of the year, Canelo vs. Kirkland at Minute Maid Park in Houston on Saturday, May 9. Chinese heavyweight sensation Taishan (3-0, 2 KOs), 2012 U.S Olympian Joseph “Jo Jo” Diaz Jr. (15-0, 10 KOs) and top contender Joshua “Grand Master” Clottey (38-4, 22 KOs) will headline the non-televised undercard. In addition, some of Texas’ top talent will be featured on the card as well including the professional debut of welterweight James Leija Jr., the son of Texas Boxing Legend Jesse James Leija.
Fans sold out the Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angles for tonight’s inaugural “LA Fight Club” card from Golden Boy Promotions. Many of the prospects featured in this series will be LA based fighters and they bring their friends and family with them. It all makes for a great “club” type atmosphere at the venue, with passionate fans cheering for the representatives of their neighborhoods. Although there were eight total bouts on tonight’s card, three were nationally televised on Fox Sports 1, with a swing bout just missing the broadcast.
LOS ANGELES (March 6) -The sold-out debut of LA FIGHT CLUB made an explosive impression at The Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles on March 6, and had no shortage of drama and action in the ring. The event drew celebrities and fans, filling The Belasco Theater to capacity. An electric crowd chanted and screamed for their favorite fighters all throughout the night, creating a true “fight club” feel in the venue. The excitement in the ring carried from bout to bout as fighters delivered exciting fights to please the crowd. Special guest host, long-time boxing fan and EXTRA host Mario Lopez joined the announce team alongside play by play announcer Brian Custer, color commentator Paulie Malignaggi and ringside reporter Jessica Rosales for the fights that were broadcast live on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports Deportes.
