Former Irish Elite amateur champion Gary Sweeney hopes to kick off a busy 2018 when he takes to the ring for his first fight of the year at the Brentwood Centre in March.

The undefeated Galway-born Mayo cruiserweight (4-0, 4KOs) has been added to MTK Global’s ‘High Stakes’ fight bill in Essex, which will be live on iFL TV.

Cruiserweight cruncher Gary Sweeney intends making an knockout entry to British TV screens when he stars on BoxNation’s Belfast bonanza at the Titantic Exhibition Centre on Bonfire Night, writes Glynn Evans.

The 22 year old former European Youth finalist from County Mayo has already mullered his first two professional opponents (both Slovakian) before the scorecards were required and he’s promising to complete a hat trick of routs when he features in a four rounder against an as yet to be announced opponent in the Ulster capital.
