Frankie Gavin has signed a promotional deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing and will headline a show at The Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham on May 9, live on Sky Sports.
Domestic rivals Frankie Gavin and Bradley Skeete started their war-of-words as they head towards their Saturday 29th November showdown at the ExCeL London.
Gavin defends his British Welterweight title with the Vacant Commonwealth title also on the line, live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky 437/HD 490, Virgin 546 and Talk Talk 525).
Both Matchroom and Warren Promotions stage rival shows this coming weekend in two of England’s fighting cities, showcasing some of the best talent these shores have to offer in their dress rehearsals ahead of enormous shows planned by each organisation for the end of November, in doing so displaying the increasing confidence they have in the British public’s appetite for the fight game.
Hull and Liverpool are the chosen venues to play host to a number of British boxing’s brightest prospects, including 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist Luke Campbell, the much maligned and supremely talented Chris Eubank Jnr and recently crowned IBF Bantamweight Champion Paul Butler (Butler subsequently vacated the belt, to drop back to his more natural Super Flyweight division). All of who are beneficiaries of the increased promotional activity propelling their promising careers.
In August, Gavin, world amateur champion in 2007 and possibly Britain’s best pure boxer, lost a narrow points decision to European welterweight champion Leonard Bundu at Wolverhampton Civic Hall – and he’s back in action there on Friday, October 24.
Another fantastic all-British showdown has been added to the big ExCeL show on Saturday 29th November with Frankie Gavin facing-off against rival Bradley Skeete with the British and Vacant Commonwealth Welterweight titles on the line.

Saunders defeated Italian Emanuele Blandamura last Saturday in Manchester with a stunning eighth round stoppage to add the prestigious European belt to his British and Commonwealth titles, and believes Birmingham star Gavin can halt Bundu to become a triple champion.
The pair have followed almost identical career paths from being GB amateur team mates; turning professional at the same time with Frank Warren; both holding unbeaten records; both winning British and Commonwealth titles.
Birmingham star Frankie Gavin will challenge for the European Welterweight title on Friday 1st August at Wolverhampton Civic Hall against reigning champion Leonard Bundu.
