Nottingham’s Dean Gillen travelled to London on April 30th with the intention of upsetting unbeaten prospect Barney Joe Jones at the Copper Box Arena in Hackney, and he did just that, triumphing 39-37 on points.

Nottingham’s ‘Fighting Fireman’ Dean Gillen dropped to 2-2 following a fifth round stoppage at the hands of unbeaten Craig Bunn (8-0-1) at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate Hotel.

Droylsden’s undefeated prospect, Craig Bunn, 29-years-old, took home the vacant British Challenge super-middleweight belt by forcing the stoppage in the fifth round of the scheduled eight-round contest over 33-year-old travelling opponent, Gillen.

Dean Gillen eager for next fight after coming through hard debut win

After coming through his professional debut with a hard-earned points win over fellow debutant, Shaun White at the Britannia Hotel in Nottingham on May 23rd, Dean Gillen is eager to get back into the ring for his second pro fight.

The firefighter from Arnold, Nottingham said, “I spoke to Carl [Greaves] and he’s planning on getting me out again in September, but I’m really keen to get out before then even if I have to travel.”
