By: Bill Dwyre* — LAS VEGAS — Let’s be realistic. The sports Richter Scale reading for Saturday night’s MANNY PACQUIAO – TIM BRADLEY boxing match is about a 3.1. There are a few jiggles of interest, but nothing is falling off shelves.
LAS VEGAS (April 6, 2016) — This week, someone’s life will change forever as AMERICAN IDOL, the cultural phenomenon that changed the face of television and created some of today’s biggest music stars, will crown its 15th and final AMERICAN IDOL. That newly-crowned winner – in his/her post-IDOL debut — will be whisked to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to sing The National Anthem before Fighter of the Decade MANNY “Pacman” PACQUIAO, and five-time world champion TIMOTHY “Desert Storm” BRADLEY, battle it out in a 12-round high stakes welterweight showdown. Promoted by Top Rank®, in association with MP Promotions and Tecate, Pacquiao vs. Bradley will take place on Saturday, April 9 and will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View® beginning at 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM PT.
Arthur Abraham (44-4, 29 KOs) is promising his best ever performance when he steps through the ropes to defend his WBO World Super Middleweight title against Gilberto Ramirez (33-0, 24 KOs) on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The two-weight World Champion, who will be making his Las Vegas debut on the undercard of Manny Pacqiauo’s farewell fight with Timothy Bradley, knows he must bring his A-game to defeat the rising Mexican star.
BOB ARUM: This is a very interesting promotion as far as I’m concerned. A lot of people are concentrating on the new and improved Tim Bradley. Manny Pacquiao with his right arm now totally repaired – he has had that torn rotator cuff since before the De La Hoya fight. A lot of athletes are able to perform well with a torn rotator cuff – a lot of pitchers in the major leagues are able to perform well with it. Obviously now that it’s repaired, it is at full strength.
LOS ANGELES (March 22, 2016) – Undefeated contenders GILBERTO “Zurdo” RAMIREZ, ÓSCAR VALDEZ and JOSE RAMÍREZ, former world champion EVGENY GRADOVICH and Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum hosted a Los Angeles Media Workout on Tuesday at Fortune Gym. The fighters worked out and discussed their upcoming championship fights on the Manny Pacquiao – Timothy Bradley NoTrump pay-per-view undercard (http://lat.ms/1o41mcT).
TODD duBOEF: We are weeks away from this highly anticipated match between two Hall of Fame fighters. Tim has shown an incredible rebirth, beginning with his November fight in his union with Teddy Atlas. He did what no one had ever done, stopping Brandon Rios. He is motivated and a classy person inside the ring and a classy, classy person outside the ring. We are really excited to hear what he has to say and how he is preparing for this fight. He just found out today that Everlast has signed Tim (http://goo.gl/utpZTx). As he is winding down his training camp days I think it’s a good time to talk to him and Teddy.
LOS ANGELES (March 12, 2016) — Fighter of the Decade MANNY “Pacman” PACQUIAO and his Hall of Fame Trainer World-Famous FREDDIE ROACH will soon break camp in General Santos City in the Philippines and head to the U.S. On Monday, at Roach’s Hollywood-based Wild Card Boxing Club, they will begin phase two of training for their sole mission — demolishing two-division world champion TIMOTHY “Desert Storm” BRADLEY JR. Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) and Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs) are 29 days away from their date with destiny — their 12-round welterweight battle for pound for pound supremacy.

Wednesday brought another boxing news conference and another masterpiece of salesmanship and jaw-dropping from the master of that, Bob Arum.
Arum is the chief executive of Top Rank Promotions. He is 84 years old, going on 52. He seems to have the energy of a ten-year-old with attention deficit disorder. Think of him as ADD Bob.
