Larsen won? lol. People are a joke…

Larsen won, but Solis got the decision. Face it. odlanier started well, but got hurt and didnt do anything the last six rounds.

Larsen is a big, strong fighter with massive strenght. However he is very slow, but have heavy hands. A boxer with solis background is supposed to box circles around a big slow guy like Larsen, but that didnt happen. I think solis is finished as a top dog, wlad would brutalize and ko the solis we saw yesterday with ease.

lol how can somebody say that larsen won this?
typical for esb “boxing” fans, no clue about boxing

Larson won. Two more rounds and Solis would have been in serious trouble, probably knocked out. Solis didn’t throw many punches after the 5th round. He looked hurt and not interested to fight. Pushing mostly and therefor warned several times, but looked like he didn’t care.

The fact is Solis is an immensely, and I mean immensely, talented boxer. I remember when he fought Vitali Klitschko and the vast majority of the casual boxing public didn’t know who he was. They looked at him and denegrated his chances based on his look. Then when I covered the build up to their fight in Cologne everyone was amazed at how agile, graceful, and fit Solis looked during his open workout sessions. There’s no question in my mind that Solis’ physique belies his stamina and his dedication. My problem with him is that he’s a lazy fighter, he cruises to decisions because he can’t be bothered to step it up. My only other problem is that his power seems to have diminished a bit. Don’t be fooled though. If Solis did get another big fight, and did come down to the mid 240s he would give every top heavyweight fits. I still think before his career is out he handsomely beats one of the so called up and coming stars. As for Chagaev. I think his career has been wrecked by that massacre against Wladimir in 2009. He got hit harder than ever before in that 2nd round and was busted up badly until round 9. Between the Chagaev and Haye fights Wladimir was really top notch and Ruslan caught himself in the firing line. I’m not really sure what top fighter he’s capable of being impressive against.

To say Larsen won this fight is just crazy. I agree that Solis was very disappointing concerning the potential that he has but Larsen, though very motivated towards the end of the fight was far worse. He only came through with one significant power punch the whole fight. So donĀ“t speak of a hometown/gift decision or something like that, cause it is just not true.

Squared-Circle (a.k.a. LionKing)

Solis and Arreola should battle each other in a HW eating contest! It’s a crying shame when talented guys like that don’t live up to their potential because they can’t put down the cheeseburgers, fries, carne-asada burros and Coronas. I understand that some dudes are naturally heavier set, and will never be ripped, but come on man! If I was in their trainer, I’d put them on a strict vegan & fish/poultry diet. No red meat, fast carbs, processed foods, sugar or alcohol. And increase the cardio, endurance training by at least 25%.

Mcdonalds heavyweight title was on the line?????

Aydin deserved the fight. but yeah, Lauri was not a classy opponent for him. I hope we can see Aydin fights for title again. But need to be better than this! with more combinations…

Neil(pomy)….. what did you make of that?

did helinus win?

Posted March 22, 2013 7:36 pm

That was poor. really bad if solis is serious he needs to loose weight. Dont think we will see him dighting for titles, but then again he won so who knows

Posted March 22, 2013 7:32 pm

Was Chagaev any good with his sole round?

Posted March 22, 2013 7:02 pm

Solis pushing and not boxing. 114-115 in favor of Larsen. Good chin both boxers but poor speed. Norwegian big man Leif Larsen surprised me.

Fight Aficionado

Next time throw a box of Whoppers with cheese in the ring, winner eats it loser gets nothing. Solis needs more motivation.

Eleanore the Hag

A gift win for this slab of fat.

Posted March 22, 2013 6:21 pm

Yes, larsen won. solis badly beaten. right eye looking terrible, hes not feelin to good tomorrow. No sign of a hard fight in larsens face…..but both boxers to fat…

Posted March 22, 2013 6:20 pm

Larsen won.

Posted March 22, 2013 6:14 pm

Solis got a home-win in this one. Larsen much more impressing..

Posted March 22, 2013 6:07 pm

Larsen was the best boxer. Solis didn’t do much after round 3.
Larsen was hammering him all the time.
A scandal that they tried to stop the fight after ten rounds when Larsen was dominating Solis..
Solis wasn’t good, but Larsen made him look bad, stopping him from moving forward.

Solis vs Larsen was the sorriest excuse for a heavyweightfight i’ve seen in a while.
Two totally out of shape and inable fats dancing for 12 rounds and cant seem to throw a single decent punch.

solis should just retire hes slow and overweight what a garbage fight
