Bradley was aiready shot mentally going in to this fight, then he takes another beating over 12 rnds. The fight ending the way it started, with Bradley getting banged arond the ring taking brain scrambling head shots. He needs to think about his futur while he can still think

Marty!! Whats up son dropping science man I was ACTUALLY starting to root for Provodnikov to win because of Bradley IMO fighting like an idiot, he deserved to be KOed, BUT the truth is Bradley proved to be the BETTER fighter he dug deep and won unanimously…. I agree that Bradley is NOT a massive star but he is profile is 1000 times higher than Ruslan’s and he already defeated him unanimously why fight the guy again when he brings NO cash to the table… Like I said we are NOT going to be discussing Provodnikov in the future EXCEPT for how he almost knocked out Bradley, but at the end of the day when the chips were down he failed…:)

Anonymous – Bradley won but he didn’t dish out a Whippin!!

Boy, Timmy is looking fairly well beat up in that video. I still think he has a broken jaw. I hope we find out for sure in the next few days. Not that I want him to have one, I just want to know. I mean, that right jaw looks pretty bad and he’s not opening his mouth fully when he talks–that’s a sign of a broken jaw. But the guy sure showed his warrior heart against Provodnikov. Anyone looking to face Bradley in the future now knows for certain that there are only two ways to beat Timothy: outpoint him with boxing finesse, or stop him. Well, there aren’t too many fighters that have better boxing skills that Timothy Bradley. And we’ve already seen how difficult it is to take the guy out. But the guy was basically out on his feet in the first round–that should have been called a knockdown. Period.

So what if Bradley was in trouble… He still won the fight. if’s…. but’s and maybe’s do not distract from the fact he won a very close fight. If all the moaners & haters are questioning was it a knock down or a push… for me he was pushed to the ground after a punch… like it or not…. i think the ref got it right and had a good fight to ref. As these two went at it with-out being naughty… they both are a credit to the fight game.

Get over it Bradley won the fight and Provodnikov is NEVER going to be a superstar… He needs to work on his conditioning because after hurting Bradley during the first couple of rounds he ran out of steam and if he was in there with a BIGGER puncher he would have been flat on his face.. I respect his power and grit, but this guy is just another basic slugger I don’t even see him close to in league with say a Lucas Mattheysee….In a few months we will not even be discussing this boxer unless it is reference to the GREAT fight he had with Tim Bradley, and he sure as hell had Bradley hurt something awful but Tim showed a Champs heart and gutted it out…

“I suggest some of you watch that first round REAL CLOSE” Octavius, a “push” or “shove” did not cause Bradley to attempt to stand up then go reeling across the ring. The guy was nearly out on his feet. There was a delayed reaction, by Bradley, after Provodnikov nailed him. The “push” was irrelevant as Bradley was already in very serious trouble. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have gone wobbly wobbly across the ring as he tried to regain his senses. Ref Russell should have called a knockdown in the first round for Provodnikov.

“Either bradly or provo would hammer a lame Paulie maligmagi who gets fights cause he is white and connected.” What??? White and connected? WTF are you talking about? It’s clear you are ignorant and disconnected. From boxing.

The Fights

Go Bradley.

I suggest some of you watch that first round REAL CLOSE; Bradley was in TROUBLE; HOWEVER; when he went down in that round; he was PUSHED DOWN; and because he was ALREADY IN TROUBLE when he was shoved down when he bent over; HE LOST HIS BALANCE AND WENT DOWN AGAIN; that’s why the ref ruled it a slip; which was WRONG; he was actually SHOVED DOWN; because Provodnikov was RIDING HIS BACK!!!! Watch it AGAIN!!!!

Yes, Tim won , and showed a big heart but boxing rules are for everyone. in the 1-st round he was down from the PUNCH- it’s knock down ,and he couldn’t even stand after that , he fell again, backwards this time – how come the ref did not even start to count? To me it was a pure knock OUT, not only knock down. Provo won right there by KNOCK OUT! Period. And what happened? Everyone acted blind! This can only happen in a corrupt boxing community , and I was ashamed because this is in USA, and I’m American.

Ruslan won! Really! If that was the case, why was Roach imploring Ruslan to KO TB going into the 11th round or he’ll stop the fight. Doesn’t sound like he was winning to me. Ruslan won the last 2 rounds and put on a great show and he did get a bad call from the ref in the first round but I still think TB won.

Textbook Hayelord

Don’t like how Provo and his promoter are making a big noise about being robbed. It was clear to every one that Bradley won a close decision, sure, Provo caused more damage, but he lost the majority of rounds so that’s a fail.

Tim is a great fighter but he was knock OUT in 1-st round , and the ref should stop the fight .Bradly was out ,and feld backwards again , and the ref must to stop it. Even HBO did not say anything about it,and Letterman swallow it, and did not choke! But if russian was down … well,he did not. HBO is sucks with bill maher together

I want to buy HBO again after this. I dumped it due to lame fights and their shows (bill mahar) suck. Watched Provo on espn. great compact punching style like kosta. kudus to Bradley to fight this guy. Either bradly or provo would hammer a lame Paulie maligmagi who gets fights cause he is white and connected. A rematch would be great. It was sad to hear their were empty seats. Better fight that thriller in manila where clay/ali held frazier 95 times.

fighting world class fighters for a long span of time is a risk for any fighter and especially a light puncher…there is punishment involved…a lessor fighter would have crumpled in a corner, but Tim is a warrior and knows the consequences .. he will know when to quit, but as of now he’s just broken the barrier to bigger money fights and should cash in while he can….that’s the business he’s in

Posted March 20, 2013 5:12 pm

Ruslan got a mudhole stomped in him just like Bradley both corners were rightfully concerned for their men… The terrific thing is that the BETTER fighter won… And Bradley’s conditioning was the deciding factor, Ruslan punched himself out something awful and had LONG rounds of dormancy despite the jeopardy he put Bradley in on more than one occasion…

Why not give Bradley some credit. He fought his heart out.

Unfortunately (hope I am wrong) I detected a slight slurring right at the end “he will be a world champion.” This is a tough way to make a living and Bradly has made a good one – time †o go?
