i’ll give you the analysis in one sentence ” khan wins unless he cops one in the chops” i have to say there was a comment from our old friend Anonymous about garcia being on PEd;s have to say it does seem strange the guy has suddenly become a one punch KO artist but as for KHAN’s management team they seem obviously seem to be learning from the bob arum school of matchmaking by trying to make fights against fighters that will obviously be week at the catchweight in the same way they tried the de la hoya strategy of getting girls interested in boxing despite being ugly – maybe they should try something original for a change

Great article, your analysis of the two fighters was spot on. With regard to Golden Boy holding the event in the UK, I think the last paragraph is the most likely explanation. Golden Boy is looking to expand and I believe Khan is a part-owner of Golden Boy UK. I don’t think Khan’s value is really the issue considering he is the only fighter in their stable who currently has a multi-fight Showtime contract. I think its Golden Boy using Khan and his brand to springboard into the growing UK market.

Khan has already smashed Ortiz into oblivion in the Ams, and in sparring. Ortiz was a bad example to use.

BlueC-Yes sir I think that’s the situation he finds himself in,i think he stands his best chance of success at 140 but knowing Khan he will still have an eye on the lucrative Mayweather fight and will fight cherry picked welters when he does move up, I cant see him taking full on shots from Ortiz or Berto for example, time will tell eh.

Khan = Seen more glass in a chandelier.

KORNERMAN I think he’s wanting to move up because he’s struggling at the weight. He’s caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. Stay put and struggle or step up and have to cope with even bigger shots on an already suspect chin. He’s going to be one of these “never quite made it” talents who blames everyone but himself

Diaz is well past his best and no longer a top contender. Still, there is the question of Khan’s punch resistance, which makes even routine tune-ups interesting.

I believe Khan isn’t that keen in moving up in weight just yet and we know this because he asked all the 147 fighters to drop down in weight and we also know that he is being softly matched for Garcia fight at the end of the year.

he seems super keen to move up for some reason matey, this fight is at catchweight 143.

*I believe he is eyeing up a Malinaggi match for the wba title hhmm I wonder.

why is Khan so keen to move up in weight, the 140 division is SMOKIN at the moment there is some blistering fights for him there,Matthyesse,Garcia,Peterson rematch, Rios, Alverado to name a few top fights and he’s got even more chance of being ko’d at 147, don’t understand it he must be struggling to make 140.

Good article!!! I’m one who isnt convinced about Khans punching power. As the writer touches on, Khans footwork is not the best and although he lands telling hurtful blows, and lots of them, he rarely has his feet, hips and shoulders in sync when they land. Thats why a decent puncher always has a chance against Khan, weather the
storm, high guard, wait and pick your shot (cos you WILL get one or two).. then see Khan unravel. Why? because as the writer correctly stated, once stung, Khan wants to return fire. Commendable and brave, but he doesnt have a chin like a Joe Calzaghe

Peterson would never come to England to fight or Cheaterson the testosterone cheat would be found out as a cheat ould fail the drugs tests, and lose to as a good measure. Cheaterson would get KTFO if he ever left the USA for a UK fight he is a poor boxer and was struggling with Khan in the first 2 rounds knocked down twice in the first round in his home town of Washington DC. Do you really think cheaterson will ever fight in the UK.
