Towers has already been dropped about 5 times. MICHAEL Sprott would be an interesting fight. He was beating Gerber soundly in the first fight before he was VERY prematurely stopped, and then he beat him properly second time around. As for the Lonsdale belt, well its the F.A cup of Boxing. The oldest belt there is, and its an honor to win the belt for keeps. Its worth a million of those interim/international/regular/silver/crap belts floating around.

its not being champ he’s concerned about but keeping/winning the belt out right!!

to obtain a belt a British champion is allowed to keep his Lonsdale Belt if he defended his title successfully twice.

Old Man

Price is fighting old guys but I do like how he’s being matched. Thompson has been in with Wlad twice. Good measuring stick for Price and if he stops Price quicker than WLad then that would be a feather in his cap.

Williams? I hope there is another British heavyweight called Williams, and that you don’t mean Danny Williams. That guy does NOT need to be in the ring with David Price.

price is wasting valuable time worry about being a champ in one country .when your 6ft8 and supposedly able to punch ,I would think the goal should be a world champ . the only thing I can think he doesnt think he that good so he wants to be the champ of england?instead of going out learning getting experience and trying to win it all

Coming from America I dont understand the level of the londsdale belt outright.I kinda get the picture, but Price could be a world champ in the near future. And if he gets the world belt Im sure in the future people will look back and know what happened concerning the londsdale belt, and being world champ makes up for anything else overall.

Ballou Armash

“Winning a Lonsdale belt is not my priority but at the same time it would be a great honour to own one alongside other great fighters” Price seems a bit over the top with that rather arrogant comment. He certainly hasn’t done anything yet that points to greatness.

Price v Faulty Towers?? Hahahaha. Towers is a complete and utter stiff, and wouldn’t last 2 minutes against Price. Sprott at least has some boxing ability, though his age and (relatively) small size would make a win over DP unlikely.

Sprott is a little over the hill now and wouldn’t provide much of a challenge to Price. Towers holds very little name power and again wouldn’t push Price in my opinion. Plus, they are both big come downs from Tompson.
Although saying that, I would like to see him fight Sprott and maybe Williams (I hear he has come back out of retirement) just before moving past the domestic scene to high end European level. His management are moving him too fast for my liking.

Haha Sprott wouldn’t last 2 rounds he’s a bum 5 years past his best Price needs top opponents now dump that tile and fight men in the top 15

No suitable opponents!? What’s wrong with Carl Sprott and Richard Towers? Sprott is just coming off a victory over Gerber and has tons of experience which would make him an excellent challenge for Price. Towers is younger and still untested, but he could also prove to be useful opponent for David.
