Can’t understand how and why somebody criticizes Adamek!? Are you watching a fight!?
Adamek drop him three times score clear knockdowns, put constant pressure on Cunningham during the whole night!
Adamek clearly won this fight!

Adamek was the agressor

Adamek won this fight!!!!!!!

LOL steady eddie did a better job of outboxing the pole and he did it with one hand ….

Adraw would have been fine. Adamek was more agressive but frustrated more by the long thick arms and peek-aboo defense of SC. Maybe a slight edge to USS.C but Adamek is a bigger name and that’s how they usually play it when scoring in boxing.
The bout seemed kind of incomplete after 12 really. A rematch might be a good idea.
SC should move up in the ratings and Adamek be stepped back a notch. I don’t see either guy having much of a chance against Vlad. Someone other than these two should
be going up to bat there.

Adamek won close decision….good decision….cunningham not strong enough to mixit upi in hw division

I hope Steven Cunningham gets some big money fights after this great performance. Among heavyweights, it would be great to see Cunningham against Jonathan Banks, Eddie Chambers, and ultimately a big fight against David Haye. Cunningham vs. Haye would be a great fight that could be built up over the next year or so. Against the cruiserweights, it would be great to see Cunningham against Marco Huck, Firat Arslan, Denis Lebedev, Ola Afalobi, and then maybe a rematch with Yoan Hernandez. Either way, Cunningtham deserves big money and big fights. Adamek deserves to retire.

As a technical matter, Adamek picked the wrong opponent. Adamek has come up from Light Heavy and Cruiser to Heavyweight so that Adamek has been the faster fighter in every fight for 3-4 years. Now, he fights a guy much faster than him. This was bad matchmaking. If Adamek wants to get back to the bigger payday fights, he needs to keep fighting the bigger fighters. This was a step back and stupid matchmaking. Better to see Adamek against Jennings or rematch with Areola and then back in with the Klitschkos. Stupid move by Adamek that exposes him. Adamek might be done.

40+ years old – used to love boxing. Haven’t watched a match in couple years, just dis-enchanted with way fights were scored, etc. Then I watch this Saturday fight – it looked like good matchup. So disgusted. That is why boxing has lost its following – Cunningham was completely RIPPED OFF. The regular folks can’t stand seeing that kind of stuff. Something very wrong with what was the sport of boxing. No wonder stupid MMA stuff has taken over.

This was a great event for boxing and a great move by NBC to bring back boxing to Saturday afternoon – brings back memories of the 1970s and Wide World of Sports. But it turned into a joke. How stupid does this look for boxing. How stupid does this look for Michael Buffer. They read the scores and then they changed the scores. What a joke. The worse that Cunningham deserved was a draw. This was a gift to Adamek and a joke for boxing. They turned a great event into a joke. This is why boxing is losing. It was an embarrassment.

This was great fight and a great event by NBC to bring boxing back to a major network on Saturday afternoon — brings make memories of the 1970s Wide World of Sports — but it turned into a RIDICULOUS CHARADE. How stupid does boxing look — AND HOW STUPID DOES MICHAEL BUFFER LOOK — to change the scores after they have already been read. THIS WAS A JOKE. THIS WAS A TOTAL JOKE. STEVE CUNNINGHAM DESERVED NO WORSE THAN A DRAW. This fight was obviously and blatently stolen by the promoters and GIVEN to Adamek. It was a gift to Adamek. It was a joke. They turned a great event into a joke.

It’s Me, Ernie

I thought Goral would have KOed USS, but he actually was out boxed by the smaller man. Another BS decision.

A draw was more like it, a rematch is warranted.

Posted December 22, 2012 7:08 pm

USS won the fight. Boxing is loosing its respect as a credible sport.

boxing,a funny little sport.

this is whats wrong with boxing…at worse case it should have been a draw….boxing you are killing yourself slowly

Posted December 22, 2012 7:03 pm

GTFOH Cunningham won that fight.

This fight should go to Cunningham

Posted December 22, 2012 6:57 pm

Cunningham should when by a tight UD. He wouldn’t have survived another two rounds though.

Posted December 22, 2012 6:57 pm

If Cunningham doubles the jan and stays in the center of the ring this would have been a clinic.

Cunningham is winning so far. He should be careful of Adamek’s power punches down the stretch.

Cunningham is awesome. Adamek is a good fighter.

Posted December 22, 2012 6:26 pm

The Greatest

Adamek is nothing short of a blown up light heavyweight who wouldn’t stand a chance with any top 10 heavyweight: Klitschko’s, Haye, Price, Fury all bust him up and take him out inside the distance and Chisora, Pulev, even Povetkin win clear decisions.

On paper this is a mismatch.Adamek brings even more power than before, and retains his speed.Cunningham is not the same fighter as he was,and this looks like it will end early.
So I predict Cunningham to win over twelve rounds.Cunningham correctly points out his errors in the last fight, and he is very focused on boxing this time.He will not make the same mistake is my guess, and he has shown the ability to learn in the past.

Paddy O’Trenchant

Hamer Quit.

Posted December 22, 2012 5:52 pm

Hamer stopped round 4.

Posted December 22, 2012 5:37 pm

Tor Hamer was outclassed by the Czar, who reminds me a little of the white wolf, Liakhovich.

King Chris

Adamek beats up Cunningham even more so this time around…..Chin, Power, and Experience ( in total and at heavyweight) all go to Adamek…Cunningham could outbox him but i dont think hes a better boxer than Chambers….its also possible Adamek came in too heavy; he should be fighting at about 215 lbs; thats where he looks best. at 220 he looked more plodding….at 223lbs….u never know…..could be an upset.

Posted December 22, 2012 5:32 pm

steady eddie beat up tomasz totally outboxed him for round after round if USS follows the game plan he could swim his way to victory otherwise he be getting touched up by this pole …..

Posted December 22, 2012 5:11 pm

Adamek by TKO

Posted December 22, 2012 4:37 pm

This fight will not even be that good.Cunningham is past it…and now at hvwt. its all to Adamek advantage.Adamek mid round stoppage…hope Im wrong and its a good fight but I dont think so.

Posted December 22, 2012 4:34 pm

Cunningham is in great shape. This time he has a huge speed advantage and he will use his reach better and stay out of Adameks range.
Cunningham by UD.

Posted December 22, 2012 3:55 pm

If, and it’s a big if, Cunningham can stay off this canvas this time he might actually win the fight.

Ballou Armash

Who here has seen Czar” Glazkov? Is he a match for Hamer?

Posted December 22, 2012 3:09 pm

It is going to be a good fight I can’t wait it (I keep my fingers crossed for Adamek!)
