I like Arreola he is gutsy and always fun to watch, however the guy appears limited and Stiverne seems to have much more skill as well as power and a good chin too.

Wes, you say Stiverne Has to fight someone, but to me it makes little sense in fighting the guy you eliminated in your last fight!

This is do or die for Arreola. I think he deserves it. I’m pulling for him, and have just booked my plane tickets so am hoping for a long war in which Arreola prevailsPosted May 8, 2014 3:10 pm
stiverne will have to fight somebody for the vacant belt if not arreola than wilder, jennings, perez, etc. but he has to fight someone you just can’t turn it over to him just because he won a mandatory.Posted May 8, 2014 9:59 am
the reason for stiverne long layoff was fighting don king in court.Posted May 8, 2014 9:38 am
why would austin fight a wbc eliminator. he did nothing to get that shot. just like leapai did nothing to fight boystov.these eliminator are b.s.Posted May 8, 2014 9:35 am
the only reason i don’t want stiverne to win. don king will have a tight hold on that belt. when fights are not mandatory you will have to sign with him to fight for the belt. steiverne will only fight don king fighters. forget about a unifcation fight with wk. that not going to happen.why you think there no a valuev fight with wk. king stop that fight.it will be pretty bad for the heavyweight division if stiverne win.Posted May 8, 2014 9:30 am
Man i’m about to lose. Dang.Posted May 8, 2014 8:12 am

Areola truly is a useless fat pig who should be rolledonto a charcoal grill and slow roasted for twelvehours, then served with a spicedapple chutneyPosted May 8, 2014 3:09 am
Stiverne will win by desicion in a close fight,Arreola is a warrior and will bring it but I think at this point in their career’s Stiverne is the better and fresher boxerPosted May 8, 2014 2:49 am
Stiverne will break Arreola’s giant hooter again and stop him this time. This is retribution,Stiverne should already hold that belt,he was held in limbo by Vitali immorally clinging to the belt for over 18 months, then boxing politics making Stiverne have too beat the same guy TWICE to win the belt.Stiverne will be too quick, too strong,TOO GOOD for Arreola.Chris’s face will resemble roadkill at the end of this fightPosted May 8, 2014 2:42 am
Sam Peter was never a great fighter, yes he had a granite chin which was later shattered so using Sam Peter as a measure of how great the K2 brothers are is laughable. Vitali lost to Lewis by TKO learn to live with it.Posted May 8, 2014 12:00 am
Stiverne appears thinner. If so, it’ll bode well for him coming down the stretchPosted May 7, 2014 10:18 pm
as long as Arreola doesn’t physically fall apart, i’m confident that he’ll outbox and outpunch Stiverne. different fight-plan from his go-for-the-KO approach in their first fight. he underestimated Stiverne and had no Plan B. he also never truly gave up hope that he could hurt and finish Stiverne before the final bell, which resulted in desperation. anyway, Cristobal by TKO or UD. he’s done his homework and will apply skill for the “W”.Posted May 7, 2014 9:36 pm
vitali is the greatest, lewis did not re-match, vlad and vitali totally defeated sam peter.Posted May 7, 2014 6:42 pm
Lennox Lewis turned Vitali’s face into jelly.Posted May 7, 2014 6:36 pm
vlad will ko wilder, and vlad and vitali would have defeated the heavyweights of the 60″s and 70″s.Posted May 7, 2014 5:35 pm

The fact that Arreola, has been given another title shot after losing to the man who eliminated him in the eliminator is only slightly less ludicrous than the WBO putting Leapai forward as their best man to face Wladimir.
I’d like to see chris apple pie areola win because he is an action fighter that’s likeable, but i don’t think that will happen if stiverne is in shape. Stivern vs wilder is a better fight in the aftermath, so go!! Stev…Posted May 7, 2014 2:23 pm
I imagine Stiverne is going to target that nose again.Posted May 7, 2014 2:13 pm
Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Best Ever)
This should be more competitive than the first fight. I predict it will be a pretty nasty scrap. Arreola’s nose was broken early in their first bout and that’s a considerable injury in boxing. It hurts bad, totally disrupts your breathing, and takes you out of your game — mentally speaking.
The winner of the WBC can call himself the HW Champion, but we know who the undisputed HW Champion of the World is at this point. And neither Stiverne or Arreola had a snowballs chance in h3ll of dethroning him.Posted May 7, 2014 2:01 pm
looking at the shape arreola is i wouldn’t be surprised if his local taco shop has gone bankruptPosted May 7, 2014 1:33 pm
I’m rooting for Arreola, as Stiverne as a Canadian is non-important to boxing.Posted May 7, 2014 1:21 pm

Arreola don’t own a jab….Stiverne will use it early and often.
Shattered, he had this hiatus because of Klitschko. We all know the ranking systems of these boxing organizations is BS but let’s be fair to Stiverne. He won not 1 but 2 “elimination” bouts to get a title shot (believe it or not at the time Stiverne Vs. Austin was an eliminator for the #1 ranking and a title shot). So in his mind after defeating Arreola , Only thing on his mind was “finally I get a title shot, let’s bring on Vitali.” It was Vitali that’s been holding the WBC belt hostage for a long time wavering in his decision to go into retirement or box again. So put yourself in Stiverne’s shoes. Why risk fighting another top ten contender (say Wilder for example) in between when you KNOW you have a title shot.Posted May 7, 2014 10:41 am
This whole thing seems sort of unfair to stiverne. If many of you guys are correct and Arreola pulls this off. It’s as if Stiverne is kind of screwed and will be forgotten about. Seeing that he legitimately beat Chris’s ass the first go round. It would seem fair to me to allow stiverne a rubbermatch in the event he loses. I know many fans don’t want to see that , they’d rather watch the winner of this fight take on Wlad or Wilder but.. I don’t know. Sucks as a boxing fan when you’re a fan of both fighters but you know one has to go home a loser. I like arreola I believe he’s good for boxing (his skill, his willingness to face anyone) whether you think he’s world class or not. I predict a md win for stiverne.Posted May 7, 2014 10:35 am
I think that the full year plus of inactivity is going to work against Stiverne–although his career is littered with long periods of inactivity–outside of his first victory over Arreola he really doesn’t have any notable wins.
Arreola seems in great shape and if he hits the ring below 240 I think Stiverne is I’m trouble.
I think Arreola is going to take this one–and I don’t think its gonna be close
in the first 3 rds prior to the broken nose Arreola was pushing Stiverne back against the ropes and landing a great percentage of his shots.
Arreola by UDPosted May 7, 2014 9:54 am
I didn’t know much about Stiverne before the Arreola fight but he impressed me in the way he dealt with the usually hard to beat Arreola. It’s strange after such a big win that his career went into somewhat of a limbo, can’t understand why they allowed the momentum of that victory to be stopped. Even if Bermane beats Arreola he’s only doing what he proved he could do over a year ago, surely he could have been matched with another highly ranked opponent in that time period.Posted May 7, 2014 9:52 am
Pointless fight really being that Stiverne already won the fight last year without any controversy and his career has been in mini hiatus since, ridiculous to think that a year after the first fight their going to be going over the same ground again. This bout is waste of time but i’l still be interested to see who wins.Posted May 7, 2014 9:40 am

First off Stiverne clearly won the first fight. However, without the luck of a very clean shot that broke Arreola’s nose at the end of the third round the outcome may have been very different. I believe Arreola wins with a close decision in this one or possible a late TKO. #KingKhan2014Posted May 7, 2014 8:35 am
Arreola was really exposed when a medicore Adamek beat him…I say medicore with Adamek only as a heavyweight,he was a solid world champ lt. heavy..cruiser..but as a heavy, very average at best.Stiverne should win this but he himself isnt that proven so far aswell…Posted May 7, 2014 8:35 am
Rooting for Arreola, he seems to want it more, but Stiverne may be too much for him again.Posted May 7, 2014 8:01 am
