It’s Me, Ernie

Vera is a likeable guy, hope he doesn’t get beaten too bad by gordo…

Public E.., Arreola would love to fight Chavez Jr. but it’s not happening. By the time Chavez is a heavyweight Arreola will be retired. It will take Chavez 4 or 5 years to make that jump. There are 2 divsions between super middleweight and heavyweight.

This fight is a mismatch.., Vera is durable to a certain degree, and that’s the only reason he could be sold as an opponent. It’s a gimme fight for Chavez Jr to showcase his “skills.”

He doesn’t have a lot of them, but he can fight inside a bit. It’s going to be a brutal beat down kind of fight like his smashing of Andy Lee.

Chavez Jr. will be fighting the Mexican Walrus Arreola next year at 235lbs once those steriods start making his chubby boddy go out of whack…

“So what’s the story… is Chavez planning to stay at SMW after this fight or is he moving back down to MW to do his eliminator with Rubio and get another title shot?” – UJelly, he said he’s fighting at 168 going forward unless he gets a bout with GGG or Martinez at 160. Otherwise it’s 168 from now on. He better do the Martinez or GGG matches next or never, otherwise he’ll never be able to make 160 again.

Chavez Jr says he’ll fight GGG but when it came time to schedule his fight he went after Vera. Now I understand the long layoff but expect him to go after Martinez or GGG in his next bout. Anything less is just talk.

Chavez wins then stays stoned for six months.

If he stays at SMW, he’d better actually fight some SMWs instead of trying to call MWs up to him. Would LOVE to see Froch-Chavez.

I’m sure I recognise this childish, borderline-retarded writing style. Is that you ‘Scott’? hahaha

GGG will murder chavez jr. Chavez jr would prob have a better chance against ward

Posted September 23, 2013 3:04 am

Chavez jr is not really for ggg! I want to see ward fight ggg? GGG would beat Ward ass let see the fight happened!

Last time Chavez Jnr fought I translated the refs instructions…he was actually saying
“Okay we`ve been through the instructions in yoyur dressing room, anything above this line is good, listen to my instructions at all times, protect yourself at all times, no hitting when I call break, no hitting the bong in the corner, if I call blunt you take two tokes and pass it on. Good luck gentleman”

I guess they are just trying to establish if Chavez can do anything anymore in this division without drugs.
Vera is a guy brought into lose after a moderate effort.

If they put Chavez in a ring with GGG it will turn into a horrific beating, he`ll get outboxed for a couple of rounds, then pulped.

PEEJ…Chavez jr likes to use his size and bully smaller fighters.GGG is very high tech, lands punches on a dime, has great power shots to the body.Great ring IQ the limited JR coundnt pull off his tactics with GGG.The way Sergio was out boxing JR, GGG would do the same thing but with alot more power and pin point landing.IMO it would be a brutal beat down. And the way JR uses his weight to tire the guys hes fighting wouldnt work in this case,GGG would finish him off on the inside.

Chavez will win this fight by KO!!! I am the GREATEST fight prophet EVER born!!!

Chavez I is probably going to stop Vera.

They need to keep Jr away from GGG. That’s a brutal beating for Chavez waiting to happen.

Got to build Chavez confidence back. He took a beating bar the last round against Martinez.

Prof Konje

Chavez Jr. is really a disgrace to boxing. His father should be ashamed of him fighting smaller guys or guys that are second-rate. I sincerely doubt that he’ll ever fight someone his own size or a live body. If he does, he’ll lose. HBO is insulting the boxing public by putting on such a one-sided boxing match. I’m sure they could have gotten someone to make it a much more competitive match. But if they did, would Chavez have fought them? Probably not.

Funny how people try and say that GGG is a small middleweight but if he fought Chavez Jr he would whoop him because he couldn’t get away with weighing as much as he does come fight night. Why would this not matter? Apparently it matters in every other fight. We haven’t seen GGG move swiftly around the ring, he comes straight to you and cuts the ring and gets rid of you. Chavez has a very good chin and may be able to take his punches. So I am confused why the weight would not matter.

Mr Gav

Yes GGG and jnr would be a great match up, its gonna be a long time before Martinez is back but I think Martinez age has caught up with him. But jnr has plenty of options at super middle if he stays

Posted September 22, 2013 3:00 pm

Chavez jr would get killed by GGG.Chavez jr couldnt get away with using his fat ass against GGG like he did against other fighters.

Posted September 22, 2013 2:59 pm

Chavez Jr. versus GGG would be a great. Jr. definitely has the weight to go with that match-up and probably can get GGG out with a few body shots. Jr. would be a real test for GGG.
