TARK — “You’re talking about some of the most famous people on Earth” “That’s like not knowing who Barack Obama is” GTFOH!
NO, that’s not like not knowing who Obama is and NO — FMJ is NOT one of the most famous people on Earth! That’s laughable!
The AVERAGE PERSON in Europe has NO IDEA who FMJ is!
I grew up in Rio and Switzerland (Zurich) — I’ve lived in Italy. I’ve family and friends in Germany, Netherlands, Austria and Hungary — so I know what I’m talking about.Posted September 23, 2013 6:26 am
De Lima I… I’ve been over there a lot.. It’s a rare person in Europe who doesn’t know who Floyd Mayweather Jr is..
That’s like not knowing who Barack Obama is… Plus, 90% of Americans know who the Klitschko Bros are… You’re talking about some of the most famous people on Earth, and most people can read.Posted September 22, 2013 6:35 pm

No most people in Europe have no idea who FMJ is!Posted September 22, 2013 7:47 am
The PPV’s, ring record, and paychecks tell the story. Wladimir would agree that Floyd is the best. Ask him if you don’t believe me.Posted September 22, 2013 4:18 am
Here is the reason why Wladimir is greater than Floyd. Floyd is great but Wlad Klitschko is greater. If FLoyd was so great he would be UNDISPUTED welterweight champ of the world! He is NOT!! Wlad has all the belts making him undisputed. So his bro has WBC. Vitali would pull a Sonny Liston in a match with Wlad if it were so and hand him the belt. Wlad is the King of Boxing and Floyd is the Queen of Boxing. Period.Posted September 21, 2013 2:18 pm
Chisora should be kept in a cage.
eric has the beat. brooklyn butthead would love wlad if he beat up women, wasted money, used profanity and spent time in jail. typical american trash.Posted September 20, 2013 3:52 pm

K2 Fan has the beat.Posted September 20, 2013 3:30 pm
When Klitschko fought Haye there was tons of media about it… It was a super big fight… Since then WK hasn’t had an opponent of stature…
Povetkin will draw some good ink. He’s undefeated and a so-called world champion. He was an Olympic champion. But he’s a pretty lame heavyweight as far as getting people excited about him. He fights with all the excitement of a guy waiting for a bus. He’s just not electric.
Floyd vs Canelo promised to be a smashing event. Even though it wasn’t.Posted September 20, 2013 2:19 pm
K2 fan.., Look.., You have an attractive young freckle faced, red-headed kid who looks like a teenager… He was 43-0 and the world’s best super welterweight.. and Floyd was 44-0 and the GOAT..
If you can’t sell that fight you’re an idiot.. That’s going to break PPV’s
It’s more than that… People in Europe know who Floyd is and what color he is… They knew who Ali was… They know who Obama is… They know who LaBron James is… They know who Warren Buffett is… They know who Brad Pitt is… They know who George Clooney is.
People in America know who the Klitschkos are… They know who the Beatles and Rolling Stones are… After that it gets pretty sketchy—because a lot of Americans aren’t traveled… They haven’t all seen London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Dublin, Madrid, Prague, Amsterdam etc. Europeans are traveled, speak different languages, and just know more about America. Some Americans are pretty lame … that’s just the way it is.Posted September 20, 2013 2:09 pm
Nameless/ Clueless/Brainless ; Well , after Wlad murders your russian Doughboy ; Povetkin , he may not seem so boring !Posted September 20, 2013 10:26 am
No. Because the kilts are boring and can’t even make ppv.Posted September 20, 2013 10:20 am

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)
“I would much rather root for a guy that is wiling to slug it out and go out on his shield than root for a guy that never takes any chances.” That must also mean that you hate Mayweathers style and can’t his boring fights. At least the Klitschkos knock out most of their opponents, and that’s what makes boxing exciting for most fight fans.
FMJ refuses to exchange, slug it out, and almost never KO/TKOs anybody.
And it’s TRUE that most people in Germany and Eastern Europe have no idea who FMJ even is. But they all know who the Klitschkos are because they’re two of the most famous people in all of Europe.Posted September 20, 2013 1:36 am
Maybe, Money should take a step back re-examine himself to stand for something other than money. Billioniaire Gates is trying to be remembered for the money that he gave a away. Money should get rid of the “Gehrintot” that holds his belts. The kid’s fuse is burning at both ends and it seems there is nothing between his eyes.Posted September 20, 2013 1:33 am
Floyd did not make the papers in Germany. The average German person does not know who Floyd is. Most to all know who the Kbros are. Some even know the fililpino guy. He is “nice” guy. Just the average person on the street in Germany. Floyd?Posted September 20, 2013 1:15 am
Ray (the man) Flores
Tark, I don’t think so. Some folks in Europe do not know who Floyd is, but they do know who the Heavy Weight Champ of the World is. Wladimir & Vitali Klitschko. Kings of Boxing the K-Bros are, and Floyd is the Queen of the Shoulder Roll., and Welter Weight Champ. It is all a matter of opinion. Dis & Dat. Wlad KO’s them and Floyd UD’s them. That’s all.Posted September 20, 2013 12:54 am
Wladimir Klitschko WILL KO Povetkin. If he doesn’t, he needs to retire.Posted September 19, 2013 8:19 pm
Wladimir is as boring as a train wreck … except you don’t know exactly when the train is coming…so you have to watch.. Now he couldn’t knock Mariuze Wach out, but it was a tremendous boxing exhibition over a 27-0 opponent.
David Haye, who has been boxing with Wach.., “He’s the toughest man I’ve ever shared a ring with.. I don’t think he could be taken out with a baseball bat … although I’ve been tempted to try.”Posted September 19, 2013 6:56 pm
“klitchko will jab right hand then hold. then do it over and over and over again.effective but so boring.” You mean he’ll fight like Mayweather and Garcia? Funny how people give them props for their skills but call Wlad boring. Even though he has one of the highest KO% in heavyweight boxing history.Posted September 19, 2013 5:49 pm
IMO Povetkin isn’t close to his best opponent. That’s just hyping up the bout. I do hope he goes for the KO. It’ll be paydack for these years of running, ducking, and his fake charade as a so-called champion.Posted September 19, 2013 5:46 pm
Its going to be a harder fight than most of you thinkPosted September 19, 2013 5:42 pm
Brokln boy, you and many other fight fans say that about klitschko but defend mayweather. Floyd paw paw paw throw over hand right, run run run, paw paw paw over hand right run run run. Its ok coz he is the same color as you. Floyd aint much more entertaining than klitschko, klit… does gets ko s most of the time shen he s not fighting a freak like wach. May dosent so their even. Klit can box and move for a huge man.Posted September 19, 2013 5:36 pm

Anonymous — Of course Putin will be there — he’s AP’s biggest fan.
BTW, even LL will be there.Posted September 19, 2013 4:42 pm
HA… What would any fan be doing in the crowd??? Mitt Romney showed up to watch Manny Pacquiao get KO’d.. Do politicians ever watch sports events? Even get out and go to them? … You BET.
Putin could put on a wig and facial makeup and go as Boris Kolov.
He’ll be in the crowd somewhere — so don’t speak ill of him.Posted September 19, 2013 4:26 pm
Peter, Byrd, Thompson, Brewster, Brock, Haye, and Botha were all better fighters when Wlad fought them than Povetkin is now. I just want to see him KO Povetkin and not let this go to decision here. Haye would KO Povetkin right now. Klitschko should do the same.Posted September 19, 2013 3:42 pm
And the winner is……Wlad Klitschko now there’s a surprise.Wlad by KOPosted September 19, 2013 3:14 pm
Wladimir.., “Povetkin is the best opponent I’ve ever had.”
Not really.. Huck beat him.. Haye would knock Povetkin stiff.. Fury would box his face off over the distance.. Pulev would beat him too.
He’s got a good record and you’re fighting a Russian in a dangerous place .. In Russia… No wonder there’s a concerned look on your face … I hope Putin isn’t in the crowd, staring you down with his snake-like countenance.Posted September 19, 2013 3:00 pm
Wladimir can throw a straight right from across the ring and knock out a fighter.Posted September 19, 2013 2:14 pm
klitchko will jab right hand then hold. then do it over and over and over again.effective but so boring. He never wants to get into a slug fest,i think his chin isn’t good enough,if he gets hit with a punch that he don’t see coming.the reason he don’t fight in the u.s is because of his boring style cant sell seats let alone a ppv card.I would much rather root for a guy that is wiling to slug it out and go out on his shield than root for a guy that never takes any chances.Posted September 19, 2013 2:00 pm
Povetkin, or rather, his people, have turned down earlier chances to fight for the title. Now, is the best possible time for him to get his shot. Klitschko, right now, is self trained. Jonathan Banks is a good, seasoned fighter, but he is a novice as a trainer. If Steward was with Wladimir, there would be no question of an upset, but on his own, will Klitschko be the same? I expect Klitschko will win on points, but if Povetkin makes it close, who knows how the fight will be scored in Moscow.Posted September 19, 2013 1:58 pm
And oh yeah, this Wladimir of the last few years would have TKO’d the Ali of the 70’s too.Posted September 19, 2013 1:46 pm
Wladimir is usually not that exciting, but he is effective, big, strong, hits hard and is a great heavyweight champion. He’s just Caucasian and not American or British and doesn’t talk much smack, hence he doesn’t get the kudos he deserves. He’ll beat Alexander Povetkin.Posted September 19, 2013 1:39 pm
No wlad will not KO him. Povekin is very defensive and will run when her cant get past the jab. Wlad by wide UDPosted September 19, 2013 12:25 pm
one and two
Povetlin has not improved since he ducked klit the first time. I see this as a one sided win fot klit. Probable a late ko.Posted September 19, 2013 12:15 pm
Should be a good fight but Wlad has the edge. Povetkin one chance is to land an over hand right which he is pretty good at delivering. He is a tough guy and did not get to where he is by being a weanie. But Wlad should over whelm him and win by TKO. I am glad we are getting passed the last media blitz of non stop crap and dribble and getting on with Boxing. I am done with the Jockey and lets get on with it.Posted September 19, 2013 12:01 pm

hopefully, povetkin brings his best game and makes this a fight.Posted September 19, 2013 10:30 am
Povetkin is no match for Wlad Klitschko it’s a fight that should happen because Povetkins name has been around for years and he’s a credible opponent… Klits is gonna make quick work of him… Different league of fighter…Posted September 19, 2013 9:51 am
Don’t worry you will KO PovetkinPosted September 19, 2013 9:40 am

This goal seems reasonable and realistic. Povetkin will make it possible as much as Wladimir’s power. Sascha is just right for WK and a knockout is as good as assured. No problemo as they say in Californ IA.Posted September 19, 2013 7:14 am
