I think this will be a fight that shows the other younger & stronger opponents that at any age, Floyd stil owns that ass in the ring. No one is really looking the amount of skills Floyd has, only how strong Cindanelo suppose to be & his so call speed. But who has he used these on beside guys made for him to fight? I see another sort of school is in session with this fight. The kid is going to get schooled & probably stopped before the championship rounds…….

I see good. Canelos hand speed is a little slower than Floyd? Um how about a lot slower.

Fight Aficionado

This Samir will get good work in Floyd’s camp. I often root on these African imports because they come from a hard, poor background and must fight for every dime. Good luck here in the states.

Some ppl call mayweather a cherry picker, i call it business, ask yourself, if you were a fighter would you make the most profitable fight out there? PPl are also saying canelo will do this and that but you gotta remember who he is in the ring with. MAYWEATHER!!!!!

I totally agree with you on the fact that CINNAMON is better than GHOStT and some of the boxers FLOYD has faced in recent times…

SAUL CANELO ALVAREZ will not be an eay fight for FLOYD many reasons.

This is why I am just making my point that IMHO I believe Floyd will have to use these two key elements consistently if he wishes to beat CANELO.

Not many people have noticed or commented on the fact that in one of the rounds ALVAREZ was actually working on his defence and did very well in avoiding a 3/4 punch combo from TROUT, by leaning away, ducking, slipping and sliding and was so impressed with his own work he almost got caught waith a follow up counter.

IMHO I think SAUL will look to out-Mayweather Mayweather, by trying to make FLOYD become frustrated enough into doing most of the leading and as soon as FLOYD leads he will throw his 4-5 punch combos to head and body.

The only thing though is for this bout I think Floyd will be more ghost than GHOST and will look to punch and get out, meaning he will punch and pivot, moving his feet out of range even before he gets the last punch off…

This will be more like a dance, choreographed by Floyd Snr and Jnr designed to ensure there is little engagement and is why his jab needs to be at its best – to keep Canelo at bay in order for him to set both the distance, the pace and the next attack.

It won’t be easy, but it is the way to ensure SAUL doesn’t get set to throw his combinations.

The only other way would be for Floyd to let SAUL throw 4 and 5 and time them to throw his own hook or right staright after slipping the first 2 or 3 and hope to land clean as he throws 3 and 4 or 4 and 5, which will have greater effect as Saul will be committed when he throws.

I hope I’ve made this last paragraph clear, but if not let me know and i will elaborate.

Nice debating with you.

I see Good – I bet that u are Chicago ga y, u speak the same BS

TJ What you DONT REALIZE is CANELO is NO Ghost… Canelo has a BRAIN, SKILLS, what kind of SKILLS does the ghost have????? NONE compared to Cherrypicker, the ghost look like a AMATURE swinging from the fences NO DEFENCE… Idiots like the GHOST make cherrypicker look good. The GHOST had NO BUISNESS in the same RING as Cherrypicker as of MANY MANY other hand pick fighters.. Canelo has everything going for him PLUS he CAN PUNCH… Finally a TRUE opponent for CHERRYPICKER.. Fraud Mayweather has doubts in this fight, its NOT hand pick Fraud Mayweather BETTER BE READY. I am sure CANELO is.

Theres REALLY nothing Cherrypicker can do.. Everything is NOT in his favor. Yes Cherrypicker DOES have faster hands than Canelo. Just a little faster. Lets SEE Cherrypickers footwork is NOT like it use to be, Cherrypickers DEFENCE isnt that great. Cherrypicker has NO POWER in his punches COMPARED to CANELO… It might be a BORING fight, Cherrypicker RUNNING all night long. Like GGG said. Not much going for CHERRYPICKER, His OPPONENT Canelo is YOUNG, NOT OLD SHOP WORN, Lets SEE Canelo is a BULL, Natural 154 with decent HAND SPEED, Good SKILLS. Yep Cherry picker is in a REAL FIGHT this time, first time in his LIFE…. Not a walk in the PARK, Not a sparring session. Yes I dont think Canelo has NOTHING to worry about. He will be the HUNTER.

I see Good

Speaking of a JAB.. Yes Mayweather KNOWS the VALUE of a JAB.. Oscar Delahoya SHOW Cherrypicker what a JAB can do in 5 rounds.. But ALSO Cherrypicker KNOWS what OLD AGE can do after 5 rounds. Just wait OSCAR is past his PRIME and WILL tire out. Thats why OSCAR on TELEVISION says JAB JAB JAB, I am sure CANELO watch that fight.. Since Cherrypickers DEFENCE is SLIPPING and footwork, Canelos HARD JAB will set up that CRUSHING THUNDERING RIGHT HAND. Oh Well its bound to happen, the HUNTER will be the hunted. Go Canelo GO

FLOYD MAYWEATHER will have to employ two weapons for this bout with CANELO… The jab, both as an OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE weapon…. He can use this effectively to pile up points, especially when used as a double to head and then body or vice versa, which will help to keep CINNAMON occupied, whilst he sets up his secondary assaults or he can repeat as before…

He can also use it as a defensive tool to both steady and stymie the attacks of Canelo, employing it as an old school jousting pole in the style of a LARRY HOLMES or LENNOX LEWIS used to push and prod his rival back and stop him from gaining forward momentum… It’s surprising how effective this can be if used properly, becasue it starts off like a jab, but is the perfect weapon to deter the forward momentum of an aggresive attack – therefore letting him slip either side away from the attack or to set up a counter of his own!

He will need this weapon – the jab – to ensure he stays in range, because the jusdges may not buy into his defensive skills he produced vs THE GHOST, if he is perceived to be going backwards….

The other weapon I feel he must use regularly is the hook to the body… hard and often and keep touching Canelo downstairs…

People keep saying Cinnamon has suspect stamina and a steady body attack will help to precipitate this if this is indeed the case.

Employed with slick defence – good concentration, I feel this is the way to beat Canelo.

In -out and glide to the side is the order of the day….

He can’t afford to back peddle in this bout, but will have to make Canelo miss often and punish the mistakes…. so, for this bout he will have to use his legs and do something akin a B-Hop, when he dismantled TITO Trinidad all with the use of great footwork…

Will be interesting to see what plan the Mayweathers hatch for September 14th!!!
