Hey Robbie, article had a few mistakes buddy.

Is Proksa that one dimensional? I thought he looked good against sly way back when.

third world

actually the best i have seen mora fight.he’s never going to be a finesse fighter. proska not the same.

Yeah I’ve never seen Proksa look so bad. This is a guy that actually does throw lots of nice combinations and body shots. The Golovkin KO clearly had its impact on Proksa’s mentality. I also abhor his trainer’s safety first attitude. I think it is his trainer who instructed him to throw and jump away like a squirl. Dumb strategy especially since Mora cannot knock you out.

“WTF lol as bad as Paulie” Not really. Paulie is a much more skilled boxer than Mora is. No more powerful, but much more skilled.

“He displayed a boxing clinic to Proksa.” Not for at least the first half of the fight, Mike de Guzman. Proksa was hitting Mora a lot early on. By the fourth round Proksa was showboating because he thought he had Mora sussed. He wore himself out a bit with all his screwing around. Besides that, Sergio has the head movement of an arthritic robot. There were gaping holes in his defense. And for some reason it took Mora an awful long time to step up the pace. Proksa on the other hand seem to think he’s Sergio Martinez but he has nowhere near the speed or one-punch power that Sergio does. His screw up was letting up on the pressure and giving up his early punching advantage to Mora. He dorked around until he got tired, then Mora started tagging him more. All in all, like Squared Circle said, the fight stunk.

Typical Mora fight; Dirty, sloppy & boring!

Agree with Lion King….both sucked…

Even if he had backers he would still be nothing. His only claim to fame is the contender which wasn’t great and his title winning efforts against a very ill prepared Forrest who also had an off night. But an immediate rematch showed that Mora is only a B level fighter.

Who the hell wants to see a guy with no power? only 7 KO’s in 24 wins….WTF lol as bad as Paulie

The Prince

Glad to see Mora back in the hunt. I believe he was a victim of boxing politics, because he comes from the Contender and doesn’t have the big names backing him like other boxers.

Mora would give ggg a better fight then macklin. If ggg could knock mora out id be impressed .

I do know how to listen. I recently read an interview where he blamed everybody but himself and then said he would be more exciting. After watching the first 5 rounds I went back to work. And that is saying something. Mora is Garbage. He is no scientist.

Mike De Guzman

PEEJ : you dont know how to listen. Mora did say it was ultimately his responsability if no one call him for a fight.

Mike De Guzman

These comments and article seem unfair to Mora. He displayed a boxing clinic to Proksa. He controled the rythm of the fight. Mora did beat Vernon Forest once and it showed his ability. He is a very good boxer. The fact that he is winning with such little power shows you how good a technician he is.

this was the worst Ive seen Proxa. He didnt throw any punches once he got inside, instead he just jumped right out.

What happend to the guy who threw 4 punches from the hip on his way in, then turned his guy and threw 3 going back out.

This was far worse than his Hope 1 performance. rofl

It was a bad an boring fight – Proksa is really declining even I had him up with two rds. Both fighters are now just top gatekeepers.

Mick the Marmalizer

Off subject: British welterweight champion “Fun time” Frankie Gavin got a good win over Denton Vassell last night to add the Commonwealth title to his collection. Frankie must be a serious contender as the UK’s #1 @ 147Lb now. I’d like to see him fight EBU champ Leonard Bundu next.

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

Hidaglo: Yes, seeing Proksa showboating like he thought was Sugar Ray or Ali was ridiculous.

PEEJ: Mora making excuses and blaming everyone for his washed-up career was also also ridiculous.

But IMO… the most downright ridiculous think during that fight was hearing that Mora is supposedly calling out Triple G. LOL…. as if Mora is top contender who even deserves a shot at GGG’s titles. Not only that but he would get KTFO in the first two rounds.

Posted June 29, 2013 2:19 am

What’s even more ridiculous is Mora blames everybody for his career sucking but doesn’t blame himself for sucking

Posted June 29, 2013 1:49 am

Proksa was showboating in the earlier rounds. I don’t know what was up with that. Two guys who are easy to hit and didn’t do much. It was a stinker of a fight, Squared Circle.

Both guys suck and it was an ugly stinker of a fight. Shoot… I thought Mora was retired. WTF?
