Price should seriously hang his scottish ass up if he loses again to Thompson!

Price has the power to beat anyone, but there have to be serious doubts about his punch resistance. Thompson is not a one punch Knockout artist, but he looked like one against Price. Price should beat a guy on the wrong side of forty and in decline. But I don’t think he will. I think if Thmpson gets through round two, he will wear Price down and stop him late. I hope I’m wrong. Boxing is more interesting with new blood.

Hope this Price guy dont pull out of fights when he thinks he will loose like wlad. Cant see you beating our top heavy guy though. Thompson once again will do our country proud and show why we now have the best heavys in the world.

Price got KOed the first time because he thought he was in complete control and Thompson could do nothing. He let his jab just hang out there and had his hands very very low on several occasions. Old Thompson has KO power and knew he could land a clean shot. Price got totally played. This time round you will see Price with a solid high guard, a fast stiff jab and double jab. He will control the pace and range and only fire a big right when he knows he will land it. He will take his time and get the KO. Round 5-8 should do it. It will be like watching a young wlad.

*Tony’s advice

mongrol,eh hard to target? I don’t think so, maybe for a novice but not for Thomson, either side will do and when you know a opponents weakness then you target it, common sense really, the bean pole effect like you say didn’t help, David Price hopefully has taken Tony’s vice and put on some weight, he thought he went over too easy, the beanpole effect like you said.

Price is good to give it another try so soon. He need to relax in there. When tony boxed wlad the first time he gave a good account, until Wlad made adjustments.

Hard to target it though, he only had that option because Price threw a hollywood uppercut from 6 foot away a la Froch.

It`s a sweet spot on everyone though not just Price. If you smush the ear hard enough to bust the eardrum then chances are you are going to also affect the semi-circular canal which jangles balance.

The effect is even more pronounced on the beanpoles.

If I was Thomson id be aiming for that sweet spot again from the off.

I wonder if Thomson will come in in better shape this time.

When I watched his fight with Thomson, I felt he was fighting “small” i.e. like a smaller man with his chin too much in front. He needs some kind of Emanuel Stewart to make him fight using his height.

Isn’t Thompson a lefty? And he koed this guy with his right? TT isn’t known for power either.

price should practice some patience this time.

He def needs to work on his defence and balance. Real power but needs to box ans not try andKO everyone in the first round.

The Dr

My question is……how do you get splattered by a guy way out of his prime? I hear about this price guy all the time until he got grounded. Respect to price but something is wrong when that happens.

Pete R.

Too bad they can’t use headgear like the amateurs. He needs to work on defense and balance. Big men usually have problems with that because of the higher center of gravity. Dancing would help.

He needs not the sparring partners, he needs to be Wlad.

Spar a hundred rounds, and run to Lennox Lewis for advice to get past FORTY ONE YEAR OLD Tony Thompson!?

Game over, man. Game over!

If only audley had sparred 100 rounds before facing Price…
