“Like him or hate him Floyd brings boxing to the masses” IF you say so. You have to pay to see him fight so in my book he’s not bringing anything to the masses–they’re bringing it to him.

I’ll admit that the fight was boring, but that’ s not Mayweather’s fault. Regardless of how anyone feels about Mayweather, he’s still the number one draw and PPV king. He’ll draw in the crowd no matter who he fights. Face it.

Maywether schools him this year. A fight for Canelo vs Cotto and one maybe 2 more and he beats Floyd in a year or year and a half. Not ready yet.

I`ve been wondering recently why I do not come onto this website as much as I used to. A fight hits 1 million PPV buys, so what! Could someone get this business-related nonsense off this site? It is not very interesting!

Terror Tim – imagine that, Floyd vs Canelo in the Azteca stadium on Mexican Independence Day. 100K seats sold out, 3M PPV. Not too bad an idea, won’t happen.

If Flyod was real smart he would learn to speak Spanish. If you are a boxing star you want to cater to those fans. Instead of throwing your money away on a useless music label by some Rosetta Stone CDs, better investment. Also fight Canelo at Estadio Azteca. That would be a huge event. Fighting in the same city all the time isn’t the best way to market yourself.

Good job for Mayweather. Don’t understand people who find excuses for why it happens. In the end he is good for boxing because he brings the sport to the masses. Of course having the fight on Cinco De Mayo weekend helps, that is why he does it. Should he put the fight on a random Monday so no can watch? No you put on a weekend where people plan to watch a fight. Like him or hate him Floyd brings boxing to the masses and that is something all of us boxing fans should appreciate. Now just do it more often and give us the fights we want to see.

Will have to wait for the “official” numbers. Take this with a grain of salt, it’s coming from that Showtime boss.

Well the fact that it was Cinco De Mayo helped a lot. Watching the fights has become a part of the that holiday apparently. Plus those Mexicans were probably drunk enough to buy the fight.

Rushed out, Mayweather didn’t have the skills to compete with Mayweather?

Most definitely is. Now folks will say they are lying about the numbers but they can’t do that. They would get hurt from the IRS if that where to happen. Plus Floyd gets a certain amount of money per each PPV after a certain point. Great job Floyd. You truly are the PPV king
