I really like Ricky and I find it hard to write anything derogative about him…so I will make it short…he can be countered, especially when he fights up close and steps back….My bet predictions have been sh8te lately, but I think Gonzales can take him……Good luck Ricky.

I know what your saying. But for the record i never said it will be easy. Im predicting a Burns win based on what ive seen of both fighters.

Junior, Burns fought a great fight, and won no doubt, some folks misunderstood my comments, There have been many fights in the EU and the USA, that the homeboy got the DESICION! Rocky took the fight to Burns back yard, and lost, rare but it happened. Win or lose, I will post a comment Sunday morning, please lets stay civilized, its just boxing, and I won’t be making a cent. Once again it won’t be a walk in the park for Burns! For those folks calling me crazy and so on, please read my post again, I never stated Burns will lose or win, I stated, It won’t be easy!, unlike some of you, saying “Burns will win” Good luck to both!

I was wrong it was Glasgow lol

Bori, I could b mistaken (it’s happened before) , but didn’t Burns fight Martinez at Wembley? If I’m right, then it couldn’t have been further from his home turf

Posted May 9, 2013 7:27 am

Bori you need to visit specsavers bro, Burns DOMINATED Rocky Martinez, would KO him if they fought again at LW.

Posted May 9, 2013 2:43 am

Burns will CRUSH this pretender, wait n see.

Bori you must b making a fantana kind of comment because after burns got levelled in rd1 he took control of the fight. Infant he was in control before he got tagged too realy. Martinez won the first cause of the KD, maybe 1 on effort, and possibly another 2 because burns tends to take a breather and have a few lazy rounds around the half way mark. And I’m a fan of Martinez too! Don’t let rickys 10 KOs fool u neither, he is stronger at LW and may stop the brave celo. Good lunch to both

Big Al

Bori. You just don’t know boxing. You obviously didn’t see the Rocky Martinez fight and are just commenting on it from the point of view of someone who wanted the Puerto Rican to win regardless of whether he deserved the victory, and no way was that fight close enough that it went to the hometown guy. I saw the fight at least twice, and the right guy won. The fact you said Martinez could have won by UD disqualified you. UD? Really?

boxing so sweet

I agree with you guys, Chelo never been in a ring with someone like Burns, we will see how good/bad he is.

Posted May 8, 2013 6:59 pm

Kangri- Chelo chasing Burns around wouldn’t be that bad, the problem for him would be if Burns ends up backing him up, then I think he’s in big trouble.

Posted May 8, 2013 6:34 pm

srminimo- I completely agree. I am more curious than anything to see what the game plan is, although something tells me he will be chasing Burns around the ring for 12 rounds.

Posted May 8, 2013 6:25 pm

Kangri- Chelo is very athletic and he can definitely crack, but he started too late in the game to make waves at the higher level. Burns is not a big hitter, but he throws lot, he can fight and this is a BIG jump for Chelo. Chelo has ever been with a guy like this, but they don’t have the option of waiting either, so it is what it is. Maybe he can tag Burns at some point…

Fish Eyes

Jello.. I doubt it.

Is this going to be televised in the states?

Posted May 8, 2013 5:55 pm

I’ve not see anything on this guy Gonzalez, but his last 8 opponents have something like 10 losses on there records, so its seems like the guys made out to be a big puncher, but really the guys been fighting bums

Posted May 8, 2013 4:26 pm

Mesa- I don’t know about winning this easy, Burns is the better and more experienced boxer but Chelo is a solid dude.

Posted May 8, 2013 3:39 pm

Burns wins this easy

Posted May 8, 2013 2:35 pm
