German Boxing: The Alex Jakob Comeback
24.01.07 - "Back to the roots" - Alexander Jakob wants to know it again. With 21 years he was already double world champion of the amateurs, as a professional he only lost 4 of 28 fights and won the PABA title. After a two-year break the Heavyweight returns on February 23 in Berlins BoxTempel again. The return of the 1,91cm large citizen of Berlin was triggered by the comeback wave of the past months..

As an amateur the Southpaw stood in the ring 380 times, knocked out Timo Hoffmann and Luan Krasniqi, went the distance with Vladimir Klitschko. But his last trainer Fritz Sdunek gave him the most valuable training hours. "Mr. Sdunek was an important point in my life. He has shown me what the difference between a good boxer and a champion is."
Since three months, Jakob trains daily to the edge of total exhaustion for the comeback fight against the 28 year old Werner Kreiskott. On February 23 Alexander Jakob wants to prove that the Effort after the two year break was worthwhile.
