Big Win For Zack Page

20.10.06 - By Jim Amato: Zack Page of Warren, Ohio pulled off an upset when he outworked former WBA light heavyweight titleholder Lou Del Valle over ten rounds on the undercard of Tyson-Sanders in Youngstown. Del Valle has been in the ring with the likes of Roy Jones Jr. and Virgil Hill. This was a cruiserweight contest.

The scores were 98-92 and 97-93 ( twice ). Two of the judges were former IBF lightweight champion Harry Arroyo and 1956 Olympic Gold Medal winner Pete Rademacher.

Del Valle falls to 35-4-1 while Page moves to 12-8-1, a very deceiving record. In February of this year, Zack lost a very close decision to Lou Duva's unbeaten heavyweight Mike Marrone. In September, he lost a six rounder to undefeated and highly touted Aaron Williams.
