It was a very high priority for InterBox to obtain these exclusive rights. This bout will certainly arise the interests of all Quebec boxing fans, as it features two boxers who have laced up their gloves against hometown hero Eric Lucas. Lucas disputed his last two world championship bouts against Mikkel Kessler and Markus Beyer.
Eric Lucas lost his WBC belt on April 5 2003 at the hands of Beyer amid controversy, and resisted the powerful attacks of Kessler in the last bout of his thillustrious career on January 14 2006.
InterBox in the heat of the action
The agreement concluded with Team Palle provides InterBox the opportunity to include one of its fighters on the Kessler/Beyer undercard. The results from the thupcoming September 15 2006 InterBox: Objectif Championnat Gala will determine which local boxer will make the trip to Denmark on October 14 .
Lucian Bute (17-0-0 15 K.-O.) is the primary candidate, but needs to beat James Obede Toney (18-1-1 16 K.-O.) convincingly on September 15 without suffering any injuries or cuts.
