Sauerland Event´s unbeaten cruiser Marco Huck will be on the Abraham vs Miranda bill September 23 but it won´t be for the vacant EU title as no suitable challenger can be found since Italian Pietro Aurino pulled out. Huck will instead be featured in a 10-rounder against an opponent to be announced.

British cruiser David Haye, the current EBU champ and WBC # 2, and Italian Giacobbe Fragomeni, WBC # 5, have been appointed by the WBC to clash in a eliminator. OPI 2000 and Maloney Promotions will begin negotiations for the fight in the next few days.

Comebacking German heavy Axel Schulz will stage a public workout September 19 at the Gerry Weber Stadion in Halle/Westfalen where he will return to action November 25. At the press conference that follow the workout Schulz will annnounce the opponent for his comeback.

Italian jr welter Giuseppe Lauri will fight Ted Bami for the vacant EBU title September 22 in London and not the injured Jason Cook. The winner will then have to take on Gianluca Branco.

Danish jr middle Reda Zam Zam, the reigning WBA I/C champ, is off the Kessler vs Beyer show October 14 in Copenhagen due to a shoulder injury.

Swedish lightweight Shadi Hamsho, 8-0, return to action September 29 in LA. It will be his third fight since joining trainer Freddy Roach.
